WACO, TX (September 17, 2021) - Magnolia Network, Discovery, Inc.'s media joint-venture with Chip and Joanna Gaines, today announced three new courses coming to Magnolia Workshops on Friday, Sept. 17: 30 Day Harvest: Vegetables and Herbs with Atlanta urban farmer Jamila Norman, Fundamentals of Styling: Bedrooms with Magnolia designer Hilary Walker and Grilling for Beginners with Los Angeles-based chef Megan Mitchell.

Magnolia Workshops is a collection of courses taught by the country's most talented names in home design, cooking, gardening and the arts. Courses are accessible to discovery+ subscribers through the Magnolia app - a first-of-its-kind, immersive digital brand product providing a home for all things Magnolia. The workshops empower users to move beyond inspiration and into action by learning the necessary skills to try something new in a self-paced format, perfect for any skill level.

Magnolia Workshops currently feature courses led by industry experts including Floret founder Erin Benzakein, four-time James Beard Award nominee Chef Katie Button, plant and interior stylist Hilton Carter, watercolor painter and textile designer Helen Dealtry, interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn, pastry chef Zoë François, painter Rebecca Weller and many more. Additional courses will be added regularly.

The following new Magnolia Workshop courses will be available for discovery+ subscribers via the Magnolia app on Friday, Sept. 17:

30 Day Harvest: Vegetables and Herbs - Start your own vegetable and herb garden with urban farmer Jamila Norman. From vegetables like baby kale and spring mix to fresh herbs like mint and rosemary, Jamila demonstrates how to grow a flourishing garden in your own backyard. (7 Chapters)

Coming from a family rooted in agriculture, Jamila Norman is continuing her family's work by owning and operating Patchwork City Farms, an urban farm in Atlanta committed to teaching others about food, sustainability and wellness through farming. She embraces the idea that one simple garden can cause a ripple effect that impacts family, community and environment far beyond expectations. Jamila also coaches her clients in their own backyard farming endeavors. From building a chicken coop to starting a vegetable garden, she shares her vast experience and education to help her clients succeed. Jamila is also featured in the Magnolia Network original series Homegrown.

Fundamentals of Styling: Bedrooms - Create a beautiful and thoughtful bedroom that fits your design style with direction from designer and stylist Hilary Walker. (6 Chapters)

Hilary Walker is a creative director and stylist at Magnolia. After studying interior design, she moved into a decade of creating inspired spaces for photo shoots and television. Her approach is vibrant, artful and collected - with a focus on vintage and one-of-a-kind. Hilary is also host of two other Magnolia Workshops: Fundamentals of Styling: The Living Room and Fundamentals of Styling: The Dining Room.

Grilling for Beginners - Learn how to make classic cookout recipes as well as a few unexpected dishes from Los Angeles-based chef Megan Mitchell, and become a more confident griller. (7 Chapters)

Megan Mitchell is an Los Angeles-based chef focusing on healthy, approachable and easy cooking. After culinary school, she worked as a pastry chef and food stylist for television. She then stepped in front of the camera for her grilling series, Grill Next Door, which led to hosting other cooking and grilling shows.
