AMERICAN GLADIATORS (New!) - MGM Television has teamed with WWE for "a reimagined version of the non-scripted series that will feature a slew of WWE wrestling superstars." The project is currently being pitched to broadcasters and streaming platforms. (Deadline.com)
BMF (Starz) - Sean Michael Gloria is slated to recur on the newcomer as Jonathan Lopez, "a first year detective and the assigned partner of Von Bryant." (Deadline.com)
LOVE CANAL (Showtime, New!) - Patricia Arquette is attached to star in, direct, and executive produce a limited series at the pay channel "about a group of blue collar women who came together in the late 1970s to fight for environmental justice for their community. The women became activists when they realized that 20,000 tons of deadly chemicals were buried beneath their neighborhood in Niagara Falls, New York. With little formal education or training, they took on the chemical industry and the US government and inspired the first major environmental rights legislation in the US." Colette Burson is penning the potential project, which is based on the upcoming documentary "The Canal" by Will Battersby and upcoming book "Paradise Falls" by Keith O'Brien. Safehouse Pictures' Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold; Reno Productions' Battersby; and 3 Arts Entertainment's Richard Abate and Molly Madden are also executive producing. (Variety.com)
THING ABOUT PAM, THE (NBC) - Gideon Adlon, Sean Bridgers, Glenn Fleshler, Suanne Spoke and Mac Brandt will join Renée Zellweger, Josh Duhamel, Judy Greer and Katy Mixon in the limited series. Adlon will play Mariah Day, "Betsy and Russ Faria's daughter who was 17 years old at the time of Betsy's murder"; with Bridgers as Mark Hupp, "the husband of Pam Hupp (Zellweger)"; Fleshler as Russ Faria, "Betsy Faria's (Mixon) husband"; Spoke as Janet, "Betsy Faria's mother and grandmother to Betsy and Russ' two daughters, including Mariah Day"; and Brandt as Det. McCarrick, "one of the detectives assigned to Betsy Faria's murder case." (Deadline.com)
