LIFETIME IS THE NEW EXCLUSIVE CABLE TELEVISION HOME OF SYNDICATED CRIME SERIES "CASTLE" STARRING NATHAN FILLION & STANA KATIC

Season 1 Episodes Begin Tuesday, October 5

Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic star as Rick Castle and NYPD Detective Kate Beckett on "Castle"

Los Angeles, CA, (September 30, 2021) - The popular syndicated crime procedural Castle, starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, is coming to Lifetime - its new exclusive cable television home. Starting with the first season, episodes of Castle will air Tuesdays on Lifetime beginning October 5 at 2:00 pm ET/PT and continuing through November. After a brief hiatus during the network's annual multi-week It's a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movie event, Castle episodes will resume airing in January 2022.

Castle joins Lifetime's already robust lineup of crime series favorites, including Rizzoli & Isles, The Closer and Major Crimes.

About Castle

The devastatingly handsome, fun-loving and famous mystery novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) is first connected with the NYPD when he is enlisted to help solve a series of copycat murders ripped from the pages of his Derek Storm novels. Suffering from writer's block and realizing that working with the police may give him some new ideas for his next book, Castle finds himself paired with NYPD detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). While she does not appreciate the author or his unorthodox style, Castle finds a new muse in the beautiful and intelligent detective Beckett. With his writer's intuition and her creative detective work, the duo begin solving New York homicides, including the murder that started it all.

"Castle" stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, with Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers and Toks Olagundoye as Hayley.

Castle premiered in 2009 and ran for eight successful seasons on ABC. Terence Paul Winter, Alexi Hawley, Rob Bowman, Rob Hanning and Armyan Bernstein served as executive producers. "Castle" was an ABC Signature production.
