JOSEP (ABC) - Jo Koy's single-camera comedy - about "a recently divorced Filipino American nurse attempting to navigate dating, fatherhood and a very Filipino mother who loves to 'help'" - has been ordered to pilot by the Alphabet. Steve Joe, Randall Park, Michael Golamco, Kourtney Kang, Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Hieu Ho, Koy and his manager Joe Meloche are among the executive producers for 20th Television. (Deadline.com)
LEGACIES (The CW) - The show's fourth season will now resume on Thursday, February 24. It had previously been scheduled to return on January 27. (TVLine.com)
PATIENT, THE (FX) - Domhnall Gleeson, Linda Emond, Laura Niemi and Andrew Leeds have all been cast in the Steve Carell-led limited series while Chris Long has signed on as an executive producer and will direct the first two episodes. The 10-part project follows a psychotherapist (Carell) who finds himself held prisoner by a serial killer (Gleeson) with an unusual request: curb his homicidal urges. No details were given about the others' roles. Kevin Bray and Gwyneth Horder-Payton will also helm installments. (Deadline.com)
REGINALD THE VAMPIRE (Syfy) - The Jacob Batalon-led drama series has cast Mandela Van Peebles as Maurice Miller, "who finds himself in the least expected circumstance, vampire life coach for Reginald"; Em Haine as Sarah Kinney, "Reginald's human co-worker at the Slushy Shack"; Aren Buchholz as Todd, "Reginald's manager at the Slushy Shack"; Savannah Basley as Angela, "an ancient vampire of great power"; Marguerite Hanna as Ashley, "a co-worker at the Slushy Shack and a lover of conspiracy theories and urban legends with a deadpan sense of humor"; and Georgia Waters as Penelope, a "dangerous and beautiful vampire. THIS IS US (NBC) - Vanessa Bell Calloway will recur on the series as Edie, a new character introduced at the end of tonight's episode. (Deadline.com)
ZORRO (The CW) - Robert Rodriguez, Rebecca Rodriguez and Sean Tretta's proposed "gender-swapped reimagining of the classic masked vigilante character" has found a new home at The CW. Rebecca Rodriguez is still attached to helm the project, about "a young Latinx woman seeking vengeance for her father's murder joins a secret society and adopts the outlaw persona of Zorro." Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Rodney Ferrell, Geoff Clark, Eric Bromberg, John Gertz and Jay Weisleder will also executive produce for the CBS Studios-based Propagate and Zorro Productions. Said effort was previously set up at NBC and Universal Television in 2019. Sofia Vergara is likewise no longer attached to executive produce. (Deadline.com)
