Swedish Max Original LUST Will Premiere on HBO Max March 18
LUST held its world premiere at the prestigious Berlinale Series during the Berlin International Film Festival on February 14. The series will debut March 18 on HBO Max.
Starring Sofia Helin, Anja Lundqvist, Julia Dufvenius and Elin Klinga, the comedy series Lust is an outrageous and painfully honest comedy about four middle(ish) aged women in Stockholm struggling to keep their libidos alive in a sexually frustrating world.
When Anette (Sofia Helin), a public health researcher, conducts a study, "Sex is a Highway to Health", she and her friends start to question their own sex lives. How has the decadent Swedish Sin been replaced by the mundane realities of Thursday sex, careers, kids, marriage, divorce and the never-ending struggle to stay young, fit and sexy?
The eight-part comedy is directed by Ella Lemhagen, written and created by Frans Milisic Wiklund and co-created with Åsa Kalmér, Julia Dufvenius, Sofia Helin and Anja Lundqvist. The series is produced by Sandra Harms and Karl Fredrik Ulfung, Miso Film Sverige AB for HBO Max. Executive producers for HBO Max are Christian Wikander and Camilla Curtis.
LUST will premiere with all eight episodes March 18 on all HBO Max platforms across 61 territories including the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
