BritBox, the subscription streaming service from BBC Studios and ITV, offering the biggest and best collection of unmissable streaming British entertainment in North America, has unveiled a March slate that is cause for celebration - just in time for the service's 5th birthday! Kicking off the month, BritBox will release its first global commission, Murder in Provence, on March 1. Based on the Verlaque and Bonnet series by M.L. Longworth, this witty treasure stars Roger Allam (Endeavour), Nancy Carroll (The Crown) and Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman). The series follows Antoine Verlaque (Allam) as Investigating Judge in Aix-en Provence and his romantic partner turned partner-in-crime Marine Bonnet (Carroll) as they investigate the murders, the mysteries and the surprisingly dark underbelly of their idyllic home. Their efforts are aided by Hélène (Settle), a hard-nosed detective and Antoine's trusted confidante.
Continuing the festivities, the service will be premiering the full length documentary, This is Joan Collins, produced by Salon Pictures and narrated by Hollywood royalty Joan Collins herself, along with the highly anticipated return of BritBox original crime drama The Bay Season 3 featuring new lead Marsha Thomason (Lost). Also in March, the wildly popular Gardeners' World with Monty Don will begin streaming with a new season filled with gardening tips and inspiration.
