AVENGER FIELD (Peacock, New!) - Renée Zellweger is attached to star in a new drama for the streamer which "tells the story of those that established a clandestine all female US Airforce program called the WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots) to battle Hitler from home. Inspired by the true story of WASP leader Jackie Cohran (Zellweger) and the diverse group of women who fought the system, skeptics and even sabotage to bring everyone home safely." Writer Felicia D. Henderson and director Susanna White are behind the project with Zellweger, Carmella Casinell, Steve Stark, Stacey Levin, Emily Rose, Jill North and Connie Tavel also executive producing for WaterWalk Entertainment, Big Picture Co., Toluca Pictures, North Rose Pictures and MGM Television. CAL FIRE (CBS) - The Max Thieriot-led drama pilot has cast Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila and Jules Latimer as series regulars. Farr will play Cheryl, "a take-charge executive on the Cal Fire board who is the smartest person in any room"; with Arcila as Arabella, "the town's reluctant golden girl, a champion diver who choked at the Tokyo Olympics and finished 14th"; Calloway as Jake, "an affable firefighter whose charm masks a guilty conscience"; and Latimer as Everly, "a tenacious firefighter who prides herself on being fearless, but she regularly sobs at commercials." HELLO TOMORROW! (Apple TV+) - Michael Paul Chan is slated to recur opposite Billy Crudup in the upcoming series as Walt, "a gifted but surly rocket mechanic with a deep and secret connection to Jack's (Crudup) past." (Deadline.com)
INDUSTRY (HBO) - Jay Duplass, Sonny Poon Tip and Katrine De Candole have joined the cast of the show's second season. Duplass will play Jesse Boom, "a reputable hedge fund manager who has just emigrated to the UK"; with Poon Tip as Leo Bloom, "the wayward son of a reputable hedge fund manager"; and De Candole as Celeste Pacquet, "a multilingual wealth manager who works in Pierpoint's Private Wealth Management division." NATIONAL TREASURE (Disney+) - Breeda Wool will recur on the film-turned-TV series as Kacey, "a sarcastic, kick-ass henchwoman and Billie's (Catherine Zeta-Jones) second-in-command." (Deadline.com)
QUANTUM LEAP (NBC) - Ernie Hudson has signed onto the reboot series pilot as Herbert "Magic" Williams, "a Vietnam veteran and head of the time travel project at Quantum Leap.
