BACKWARDS IN HEELS (Amazon, New!) - Writer/director Richard LaGravenese is developing a potential series for the streamer which "follows the aspirational and timeless story about the glamourous women living at the Barbizon Hotel in post-WWII New York City." Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina of Nuyorican Productions and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost of Skydance Television will also executive produce with Julie Goldstein producing. (Deadline.com)
BLANK SLATE (NBC) - Matt Passmore and Floriana Lima have booked the lead roles in the drama pilot, in which "Special Agent Alexander McCoy (Passmore) is a legend in law enforcement, the agent we all hope is out there, the agent we'd all like to be. The only issue is - he doesn't actually exist. He's a ghost, a phantom. So what happens when a man claiming to be Alexander McCoy walks through the door with all of his skills and knowledge but with an agenda nobody will see coming?" Lima plays Maya Logan, "the seasoned head of a team of Homeland Security agents who's always a step ahead of everyone else." (Deadline.com)
DC'S STARGIRL (The CW) - Tim Gabriel has been cast in the upcoming season as Todd Rice a.k.a. Obsidian, "the son of Alan Scott/Golden Age Green Lantern and the twin brother of Jennie-Lynn Hayden/Jade (Ysa Penarejo)." (EW.com)
GOTHAM KNIGHTS (The CW) - Anna Lore has been cast as DC Comics hero Stephanie Brown in the project: "With sarcasm matched only by her intellect, Stephanie (Lore) was raised on a steady diet of brain teasers and puzzles. She's honed her skills to become a formidable coder. But her greatest talent might be hiding a less-than-perfect home life." It's understood she'll replace another actress who was never announced. (Deadline.com)
HSI: PUERTO RICO (CBS) - The Eye has commissioned a writers' room for the project which "will be generating five scripts and a season one bible for a potential scripts-to-series order." Lisa Morales is behind the potential drama, in which "a passionate Homeland Security agent reluctantly returns home to Puerto Rico where she works with her talented but jaded training officer as part of an elite HSI team working tirelessly as the first line of defense against all manner of threats to the United States." (Deadline.com)
NEIGHBORHOOD, THE (CBS) - Meg DeLoatch is exiting as showrunner of the comedy series and will focus on development as part of her overall deal with CBS Studios. The search is underway for a replacement. (Deadline.com, 3/26)
