EMMY NOMINEE DAMON WAYANS AND GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE PAM GRIER JOIN TUBI'S FILM "CINNAMON," FROM VILLAGE ROADSHOW PICTURES' NEW SLATE OF BLACK NOIR CINEMA

· CINNAMON is a thriller that follows a struggling small-town gas station attendant and aspiring singer, Jodi Jackson (Tony nominee Hailey Kilgore "Raising Kanan") whose life is sent into a tailspin when there's a robbery at work.

· Golden Globe nominee Pam Grier is set to play MAMA, the undisputed head of her family's criminal organization with her son James (Jeremie Harris "Legion") executing her wishes.

· Emmy nominee Damon Wayans plays WALLY, the owner of the convenience store that gets robbed. He's a businessman who also owns a used car lot that has made him a fixture on local TV commercials. Wally is deeply in debt to James and Mama; he borrowed money from them to start his businesses, is badly over-extended, and has been aggressively cooking the books to give himself a better lifestyle and maximize his profits (by cheating his partners).

· CINNAMON also stars David Iacono ("The Flight Attendant") as Eddie, Jodi's fiercely devoted boyfriend and music manager.

· Set to debut later this year, CINNAMON is written and directed by a rising award-winning filmmaker, Bryian Keith Montgomery Jr. and produced by Kevin Garnett and his Content Cartel Studios along with iconic director/producer Oz Scott.

· Currently in production in Atlanta, CINNAMON is the first movie filming under the recently announced deal with Village Roadshow Pictures to produce multiple films from Village Roadshow Pictures' "Black Noir Cinema" initiative.

Pam Grier Bio

Golden Globe nominee Pam Grier was discovered by director Jack Hill, who cast her in his women in prison films "The Big Doll House" (1971), and "The Big Bird Cage" (1972). In the early 1970s she became a staple in blaxploitation movies, playing big, bold, assertive women, beginning with Jack Hill's "Coffy" (1973) and was the first African-American female to headline an action film, as protagonists of previous blaxploitation films were males. Grier subsequently played similar characters in "Foxy Brown" (1974), "Friday Foster," and "Sheba, Baby" (both 1975). She acquired progressively larger character roles in the 1980s, including a prostitute in "Fort Apache the Bronx" (1981), a witch in "Something Wicked this Way Comes" (1983), and Steven Seagal's detective partner in "Above the Law" (1988). She made guest appearances on "Miami Vice," "Martin," "Night Court" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, "Sinbad," "Preston Chronicles," "The Cosby Show," "The Wayans Brother Show," "Mad TV" and also had a recurring role in the TV series "Crime Story" between 1986 and 1988. She appeared in Sam Shepard's play "Fool for Love" and won an NAACP Award for Best Actress in a Play. She went on to win Best Actress Awards for "Frankie and Johnnie" and the Claire De Lune, "The Piano Lesson" by August Wilson. In the late 1990s Grier was a cast member of the Showtime series "Linc's." She again appeared in the title role of Quentin Tarantino's "Jackie Brown," a film that partly paid homage to her '70s blaxploitation movies. Between 2004-2009, Pam appears in the Showtime series "The L Word" and recurred in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Smallville." She played Queen Latifah's mother in the film "Just Wright" and starred in "Larry Crowne," and "Mafia" with Ving Rhames. She is set to film "Man With Iron Fists" directed By RZA and Eli Roth. She also wrote her memoir, "Foxy: My Life in Three Acts" with Andrea Cagan, a New York Times Bestseller. Recently, she performed in an emotionally gripping arc in the NBC hit drama "This is Us." She can also be seen staring opposite Diane Keaton, Jacki Weaver, and Rhea Perlman in the feature film "Poms." Pam is currently starring in the series "Bless This Mess" for ABC also starring Dax Shepard and Lake Bell, premiering this Spring. Pam is represented by TalentWorks and attorneys Brecheen, Feldman, Breimer, Silver & Thompson.
