LOS ANGELES - FOX Sports enters into a new era for its 27th season of Major League Baseball coverage with a star-studded lineup in-studio and in the broadcast booth, as the network is set to open its regular season coverage Saturday, April 9, when the Boston Red Sox travel to the Bronx for a battle with their AL East rival New York Yankees at 4:00 PM ET on FS1, FOX Deportes and the FOX Sports app.

Award-Winning Pregame and Postgame Coverage

Throughout the regular season in the FOX Sports studio, Kevin Burkhardt and Eric Karros are joined by versatile host Chris Myers, World Series champion pitcher Dontrelle Willis, Hall of Famer Frank Thomas and former MLB first baseman Mark Sweeney for select events. Burkhardt, Thomas and Willis are at the desk for Saturday's pregame at 3:30 PM ET on FS1.

In addition, World Series champions Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz join the studio for special events, including the MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard and MLB at Field of Dreams game presented by GEICO, and the network's coverage of the MLB Postseason.

In the Broadcast Booth

As previously announced, Joe Davis moves into the lead play-by-play role joining first-ballot Hall of Famer and Emmy Award winner John Smoltz in the FOX MLB booth. Davis, tapped in 2017 to take over for Vin Scully, legendary voice of the Dodgers, joins Smoltz for regular season games, the 2022 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard MLB at Field of Dreams game presented by GEICO and MLB Postseason.

Throughout the season, announcers Adam Amin and Eric Karros are joined by World Series champion catcher A.J. Pierzynski and Emmy Award-winning reporter Tom Verducci in contributing to FOX MLB game coverage.

For FOX MLB's season opening game on Saturday, April 9, featuring the Red Sox and Yankees, Aaron Goldsmith and Smoltz team with two-time Emmy Award-winning reporter Ken Rosenthal to call the action.

FOX Deportes

Set to broadcast 40 MLB games this regular season, FOX Deportes' premier talent lineup is led by renowned play-by-play announcer Adrian Garcia Marquez and former MLB infielder and Mexico National Team manager Edgar Gonzalez. Joining the team throughout the season are veteran broadcasters Carlos Alvarez and Jaime Motta.

FOX MLB Digital Coverage

FOX Sports offers exclusive coverage across its digital and social platforms, including the FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com. Former professional baseball player Ben Verlander rolls into his second season with the award-winning podcast, FLIPPIN' BATS WITH BEN VERLANDER. The podcast, part of the FOX Sports Podcast Network, delivers weekly conversations with some of today's top players. Verlander contributes original written content.

Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman return for their second season with FOX Sports, offering their unique perspective and analysis of MLB and all levels of the game. The minds behind the popular @CespedesBBQ social accounts, Mintz and Shusterman will contribute regular written storytelling, along with video and social content.
