ACCUSED (FOX) - The anthology series has cast Stephanie Nogueras, Joshua Castille, Lauren Ridloff, Megan Boone, Aaron Ashmore, Jean-Michele Le Gal and Daphne Rubin-Vega. Nogueras stars in the Marlee Matlin-helmed installment as Ava, "a Deaf woman who becomes a surrogate for a couple, Jenny (Boone) and Max (Ashmore) and commits a crime of advocacy and protection." Castille will play Ava's boyfriend, KJ, "who is hard of hearing"; while Le Gal and Ridloff are set as Ava's public defenders and Rubin-Vega as Ava's mother. (Deadline.com)
BATTERSEA POLTERGEIST, THE (Peacock, New!) - Blumhouse Television and Maniac Productions are developing scripted and unscripted series at the streamer based on the podcast of the same name, which "tells the story of strange events that occurred in 1956 in Battersea, South London, when 15-year old Shirley Hitchings first began being terrorized by a powerful force. The events were investigated over a 12-year period, becoming the longest documented poltergeist haunting in history. The unscripted companion series will delve deeper into the story through the use of archival footage and new interviews." Danny Robbins, Michael Seitzman, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold are the executive producers of both projects with Emma Cooper of Empress Films and Gretchen Palek also executive producing the unscripted incarnation. CROSSOVER, THE (Disney+) - Darone Okolie, Gabriela Lopez, Joel Steingold, Himie Freeman and Johnny Cantley are all slated to recur on the upcoming series. Okolie and Freeman will play future versions of the Bell brothers; with Lopez as a future version of Maya; Cantley a future version of Vondie; and Steingold as Basil St. Jean, "the poised and stylish Vice Principal at Hughes Middle School." CURSE, THE (Showtime) - Corbin Bernsen, Barkhad Abdi, and Constance Shulman have all been cast in the Emma Stone-led comedy series. No details were given about their characters. Co-creators Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie also star. (Variety.com)
ECHO (Disney+) - Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will both drop by the latest Marvel Studios series, a spin-off of "Hawkeye" starring Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez. D'Onofrio also appeared in "Hawkeye" while Cox was last seen in "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Both actors are reportedly attached to their own follow-up to Netflix's "Marvel's Daredevil" at Disney+. FRIEND OF THE FAMILY, A (Peacock) - Ella Jay Basco is slated to recur on the limited series in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Variety.com)
GENTLEMAN JACK (HBO) - The pay channel has pulled the plug on the period drama after two seasons. "HBO will not be moving forward with a third season of Gentleman Jack," the network said in a statement. "When we began this journey more than five years ago, we knew the series' creator Sally Wainwright had a uniquely compelling vision, and it's been tremendously gratifying to see how Anne Lister's journey has resonated with viewers. We are incredibly grateful to Sally, to the impeccable Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle, and to the entire cast and crew for bringing Anne and Ann's story to life. We'd also like to thank our partners at BBC and Lookout Point for their collaboration on two remarkable seasons." (Deadline.com)
HIGHFIRE (Paramount+) - Nicolas Cage's proposed TV series based on Eoin Colfer's adult thriller novel - about "a vodka-drinking, Flashdance-loving dragon (voiced by Cage) who lives an isolated existence in the bayous of Louisiana" - has found a new home at Paramount. Davey Holmes remains attached to pen the script for the project, which was previously set up at Amazon. Holmes and Cage executive produce alongside Andrew Mittman of 1.21 for MGM Television. JERROD CARMICHAEL: ROTHANIEL (HBO) - Comedian Jerrod Carmichael has signed a two-year, eight-figure overall deal with the network. The pact covers a new stand-up comedy special as well as developing other projects. (Deadline.com)

KUNG FU (The CW) - Yvonne Chapman's Zhilan and J.B. Tadena's Sebastian will return to the series as regulars this season. "It was never even a question for us that we'd be asking the incredible Yvonne Chapman back to the show," co-showrunner Bob Berens said in a statement. "Zhilan's dramatic sacrifice in the Season 2 finale creates an exciting new beginning for her character, and we can't wait for viewers to see what we've got planned for her." Additionally, JB Tadena, who plays Sebastian, has been promoted to series regular. (TVLine.com)
LADY IN THE LAKE (Apple TV+) - Noah Jupe, Mike Epps, Byron Bowers, Josiah Cross and Pruitt Taylor Vince are the latest to sign onto the Natalie Portman-led adaptation of Laura Lippman's novel. No character details were given. Moses Ingram, Y'Lan Noel, Mikey Madison and Brett Gelman also star. (Deadline.com)
ONE DAY (Netflix) - Eleanor Tomlinson has been cast in the romantic drama series Sylvie, "who in David Nicholls' original novel forms a relationship with male lead Dexter Mayhew." (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED BRIDGERTON SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Netflix) - Connie Jenkins-Greig will recur on the prequel series as Young Violet Ledger: "Violet is the daughter of Vivian and Lord Ledger, who will be played by Katie Brayben and Keir Charles. She's been described as a kind and inquisitive teenager who has not yet entered the marriage mart.. or famously become a Bridgerton." (Deadline.com)
UP HERE (Hulu) - Scott Turner Schofield will recur on the upcoming series as Phil, "a surly, transgender manager of the NY bookstore where the main character works who is trying to become a novelist." (Variety.com)
