CORIE HENSON NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, ENTERTAINMENT UNSCRIPTED CONTENT OVERSEEING REALITY COMPETITION, TALENT COMPETITION AND GAME SHOW FORMATS FOR NBCUNIVERSAL TELEVISION AND STREAMING

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 29, 2022 - Veteran television executive and producer Corie Henson has joined NBCUniversal's Television and Streaming group as Executive Vice President, Entertainment Unscripted Content, overseeing reality competition, talent competition and game show formats. Reporting to Entertainment Content Chairman Susan Rovner, Henson's purview will include content development and current programming across the company's eight entertainment platforms that are home to beloved unscripted favorites, including NBC's "America's Got Talent" and "The Voice," Bravo's "Top Chef" and Peacock's "Baking It."

"Corie is one of the most respected executives in the business and brings a resume overflowing with big unscripted hits that have broken out across broadcast, streaming and cable platforms," said Rovner. "Her deep experience with large volumes of programming across multiple networks and brands is a perfect fit for our NBCU content ecosystem. She's joining an incredible group of programming leaders working across genres, and we're excited to welcome her to the team."

Henson added, "I've always admired the NBCU unscripted portfolio - and grew up on Must See TV - so I'm thrilled by the opportunity to join this incredible team to nurture this slate of massively successful shows, take risks on developing new innovative programming, and, of course, continue championing the best producers in the business."

Before joining NBCUniversal, Henson served as Executive Vice President and Head of Unscripted for TNT, TBS and TruTV, where she developed and launched an unscripted programming strategy for Warner Media Entertainment that included "Wipeout" with John Cena, "The Go Big Show," "The Cube" with Dwyane Wade and "Hogwart's Tournament of Houses" with Helen Mirren. Prior to this, Henson was Executive Vice President of Alternative Entertainment for the Fox Broadcasting Company, where she shepherded all development and current franchises, including "The Masked Singer," "MasterChef," "So You Think You Can Dance," "Hell's Kitchen," "Beat Shazam with Jamie Foxx" and all live event specials.

Earlier, Henson held the post of Executive Vice President of Unscripted Television at multi-platform studio Electus, following five years as Vice President of Alternative Series for ABC Entertainment, overseeing hits that include "Dancing with the Stars," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Shark Tank." Henson's credits as a producer also include "Big Brother," "Grease: You're the One That I Want," "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," "The Critics' Choice Awards" as well as live red-carpet awards coverage while she was with E!
