BIG SKY (ABC) - Angelique Cabral will recur on the new season as Carla, "ex-wife of Sheriff Beau Arlen, played by new series regular Jensen Ackles." (TVLine.com)
CROSSOVER, THE (Disney+) - Executive producer Kim Harrison has signed an overall deal with producer 20th Television. (Deadline.com)
CROWN, THE (Netflix) - Production on the series was suspended for the day in honor of Queen Elizabeth II's death. The series "is currently in the middle of shooting its sixth and supposedly final season." (Variety.com)
FLATBUSH MISDEAMEANORS (Showtime) - Saeed Crumpler has signed a multi-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)
MAGGIE (Hulu) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the comedy series after one season. Originally set to air on ABC, the project landed on the service in July. (Variety.com)
MORNING SHOW, THE (Apple TV+) - Stephen Fry is slated to recur on the upcoming season as Leonard Cromwell, "a ruthless UBA board member working to steer the company through troubled financial waters." (Deadline.com)
PAPER GIRLS (Amazon) - The streamer has canceled the comic book-turned-TV series after one season. (Deadline.com)
SHOW MUST GO ON, THE (Peacock, New!) - Writer Austin Winsberg and director Richard Shepard are developing "a darkly comedic murder mystery anthology series" at the streamer in which "each season would take place in the days leading up to a big, live, televised event and would tackle a new murder with a refreshed cast." "Season 1 is set behind the scenes during the making of a fictitious version of Lloyd Webber's worldwide mega-hit: The Phantom of The Opera Live! As if putting on a giant, live, beloved musical isn't enough of a challenge, imagine how hard it will be with endless production problems, warring stars, mounting network pressures, and, oh yeah, the gruesome and untimely death of one of the leads. With a murderer on the loose, and a Phantom to contend with, the whole cast and crew will have to come together to put on the greatest show of their lives... that is - if they can live long enough to make it to the final curtain..." Lionsgate Television is behind the project with Robert Greenblatt of The Green Room, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum of The Tannenbaum Co. also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
SINKING SPRING (Apple TV+) - Michael Mando is set to star opposite Brian Tyree Henry in the drama series as Manny Cespedes, "a good-hearted friend of Ray's (Henry), who he first met when they did time together in the Youth Authority." (Deadline.com)
STRAIGHT MAN (AMC) - Olivia Scott Welch has scored a lead role on the upcoming drama as Julie, "Hank (Bob Odenkirk) and Lily's (Mireille Enos) only child. Julie is bewildering to Hank, a daughter he shares almost nothing in common with (or so he thinks). She does not like to read, never graduated college, doesn't have a job that pays her enough to live on, and yet feels entitled to her parents' lifestyle. But she's strong-willed and self-possessed, a person who knows exactly what she wants in life, even if she's a little delusional about how to get it." (Deadline.com)
