ACAPULCO (Apple TV+) - Eugenio Derbez and Ben Odell's 3Pas Studios has signed a multi-year first-look deal with ABC Signature. The company previously had a first-look deal with Lionsgate Television. (Deadline.com)
BOOK CLUB (CBS, New!) - Dan Kopelman and Susanna Wolff are developing a single-camera comedy at the Eye about "a group of dispirited women who form a book club and promptly discover that they are stronger together - especially because their first reading selection is a spell book that gives them witch powers. Unfortunately, the powers are all the last ones they would ever choose." Wendi Trilling, Aaron Kaplan and Melanie Frankel are also executive producing for CBS Studios, Kapital Entertainment and TrillTV. (Deadline.com)
DINNER WITH THE PARENTS (Freevee) - Michaela Watkins and Dan Bakkedahl are the first to be cast in the streamer's domestic take on the U.K. series. Watkins plays the mom, Jane Langer: "She just left a teaching job after 25 years and is now looking for her second act... and trying way too hard to "help" her romantically-challenged son David find a mate." And Bakkedahl is the dad, Harvey Langer, "a "dad joke" in human form. He a suburban dentist trying to fend off a midlife crisis by wearing aloha shirts and playing in a garage band called the Spin Dentists. Desperate for attention, Harvey finds a way to make every Friday night about him." (Deadline.com)
FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple TV+) - Salvador Chacón is bound for the new season as Gerardo, "one of Miles' (Toby Kebbell) bunkmates on Mars." (Deadline.com)
MAN IN FULL, A (Netflix) - Jerrika Hinton has been cast in the limited series as Henrietta White: "Henrietta guides her husband, Roger (Aml Ameen), though a moment of soul-searching to protect what's best for their family." (Deadline.com)
VISION QUEST (Disney+, New!) - Paul Bettany's Vision is set to be the focus a new Marvel Studios series at the streamer following up on the events of "WandaVision" about "The Vision (Bettany) trying to regain his memory and humanity." Jac Schaeffer is once again spreadheading the project however no other details were given. (Deadline.com)
WILD THINGS: SIEGFRIED & ROY (Apple TV+, New!) - John Hoffman is developing a limited series at the streamer based on the At Will Media podcast about the Las Vegas showman-magicians, which "will be told from various perspectives and tell the story of the pair who push the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme - until tragedy reframes and opens up an entirely new mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show." Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Kristen Zolner, James Seidman, Will Manati and Steven Leckart are also among the executive producers for Imagine Television. (Deadline.com)
