ACCOMPLICE, THE (Amazon, New!) - Lily Collins is attached to star in a small screen take on Lisa Lutz's novel at the streamer which "tells the story of Luna Grey and Owen Mann, best friends in college, bonded together forever by an unexplained death in their social circle, whose lives are once again rocked years later when Owen's wife is brutally murdered." Olivia Milch is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Collins, Dylan Clark, Brian Williams, Charlie McDowell and Alex Orlovsky for Dylan Clark Productions and Amazon Studios. CAMBRIDGE (CBS, New!) - Safia M. Dirie has sold a new drama to the Eye which centers on Dr. Diana "Cambridge" Clark, "a gutsy, world-class pathologist who returns to the hospital she abruptly quit when she is assigned to lead a team of medical investigators - her former colleagues - as they diagnose the country's most mysterious diseases." The project is set up at CBS Studios, home to her newly signed two-year overall deal. Bruckheimer Television's Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed are also on board to executive produce. DOLL FACTORY, THE (Paramount+) - The streamer's Elizabeth Macneal adaptation has cast Esmé Creed-Miles as Iris, Éanna Hardwicke as Silas, Mirren Mack as Rose, and George Webster as Louis; with Pippa Haywood, Sharlene Whyte, Reece Kenwyne-Mpudzi, Freddy Carter, Saoirse Monica Jackson, Laurie Kynaston, Jim Caesar, Akshay Khanna, Aysha Kala and Nell Hudson in unspecified roles. EAGLE EYE (CBS, New!) - Craig Turk has booked a potential drama at the Eye about "an elite, handpicked team of airmen, military detectives and civilian agents within the Office of Special Investigations who utilize cutting-edge technology, sophisticated weapons and their own investigative prowess to tackle the biggest criminal and counterterrorism cases for the Air Force, Space Force and U.S. Cyber Command." Larry Teng is on board to direct and executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
MASTERMIND (CBS, New!) - Sallie Patrick has likewise sold a new drama to the network which "follows a highly empathetic detective with the mysterious ability to scan memories who partners with a hard-edged, emotionless criminal profiler in a specialized government task force to solve the country's most troubling cases." Director Larry Teng, PatMa Productions' Nina Tassler and Denise Di Novi and Studio Dragon's Miky Lee, Young-kyu Kim and Hyun Park will also executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, THE (Disney+) - Momona Tamada and Alyvia Alyn Lind are the latest bound for the live-action series. Tamada will play Emiko: "A local teenager in Henson, she's a member of the out-patient group therapy at the Meskwaki Psychiatric Hospital. Diagnosed as a pathological liar it's hard to know when she is telling the truth, but it's clear that as a townie she has also grown-up hearing about the mysterious goings-on at the Spiderwick Estate and is curious about its newest resident, Jared Grace (Lyon Daniels)." And Lind is Calliope: "On the outside she is a perfectly normal girl, but that is only her exterior. She is in fact a Fetch (a portent of death) who has taken this disguise to be able to stay close to the evil ogre, Mulgarath (Christian Slater), and assist in his quest to find Spiderwick's Field Guide." SYMPATHIZER, THE (HBO) - The pay channel's Viet Thanh Nguyen adaptation has cast Hoa Xuande as The Captain, "a spy for North Vietnam embedded in the refugee community in Los Angeles"; Fred Nguyen Khan as Bon, "the Captain's childhood friend who refuses to bring the Captain's multiple identities into focus"; Toan Le as The General, "the larger-than-life former leader of the South Vietnamese Secret Police"; Vy Le as Lana, "the rebellious daughter of the General"; and Alan Trong as Sonny, "the idealistic former classmate of the Captain and now the editor of a Los Angeles Vietnamese-language newspaper." Robert Downey Jr. also stars in "multiple supporting roles as the main antagonists, all of whom represent a different arm of the American establishment." (Deadline.com)
WELCOME TO DERRY (HBO Max) - Jason Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane have been named co-showrunners on the "It" prequel series. Fuchs wrote the teleplay for the first episode, based on a story he wrote along with fellow executive producers Andy and Barbara Muschietti. (Variety.com)
