Nickelodeon's "Nick News" to Highlight First Gen Z Member of Congress and Nature Preservation in Brand-New Episode of Award-Winning Show on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 8 P.M. (ET/PT)
The brand new episode will highlight Gen Z in the 2022 Midterm Election, offer an exclusive look into the organization fighting to protect the coral reefs in the Bahamas and delve into the country's oldest national park.

NICKELODEON'S "NICK NEWS" TO HIGHLIGHT FIRST GEN Z MEMBER OF CONGRESS AND NATURE PRESERVATION IN BRAND-NEW EPISODE OF AWARD-WINNING SHOW ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 23, AT 8 P.M. (ET/PT)

Nickelodeon's brand-new Nick News episode, "Gen Z in DC; Saving Sea & Seeing Nature," will highlight Gen Z in the 2022 Midterm Election, offer an exclusive look into the organization fighting to protect the coral reefs in the Bahamas and delve into the country's oldest national park. Following its premiere Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, the episode will be available on Nick.com, Nick App and Nick On Demand beginning Thursday, Nov. 24.

"Gen Z in DC; Saving Sea & Seeing Nature" includes the following segments:

1. Gabrielle Nevaeh Green heads to Orlando, Fla. and Washington, D.C., to catch up with Maxwell Frost, the First Member of Gen Z Elected to Congress as he discusses what this election means to him, his belief that the country is ready for its first Gen Z politician and his thoughts on getting Slimed.

2. CBS News Correspondent Enrique Acevedo travels to the Bahamas to find out how a special organization is fighting to restore the coral reefs.

3. Viewers are introduced to a special youth group that volunteers their time to help restore the world's first national park.

Nickelodeon's Nick News has won 10 Emmys, a Peabody, a Columbia DuPont, and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for Journalistic Excellence, the first and only time it was given to a children's program. The show originally aired for 25 years, ending with the retirement of creator and original host Linda Ellerbee in 2016. Created with a core ethos of respecting its kid audience, the show explained world events in a direct way, and always ensured kids were given a platform to voice their opinions and a safe place to question the world. Nick News made its return in 2020 with a special hour-long presentation Kids, Race and Unity: A Nick News Special, hosted by global superstar Alicia Keys.
