DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD (HBO Max) - Diane Ademu-John is stepping down as co-showrunner of the prequel series to focus on other commitments. Alison Schapker will now be the sole showrunner for the series. (Deadline.com)
EARTHWORM JIM: BEYOND THE GROOVY (New!) - Passion Pictures and Circus Studios are spearheading a new TV take based on Interplay Entertainment's video game-turned-animated series, which "followed the eponymous character, who wears a robotic suit and battles the forces of evil." No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
MORE (HBO Max) - Ana Ortiz is on track to star in the drama pilot, which follows the Lorenz family, a tight-knit clan of seemingly flawless Latinas led by mom/mastermind Leona. She'll play said role, replacing Veronica Falcón. Said decision was made after the table read. (Deadline.com)
OPEN BOOK (Freevee) - Elena Saurel, Gillian Vigman, Matthew Glave and Natasha Leggero have joined the John Stamos/Katelyn Tarver-led comedy pilot based on Jessica Simpson's memoir. Saurel stars as Sadie's sister, Kat; Vigman and Glave play the mother and father, respectively; and Leggero plays Abby Barnes. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED FTX SCANDAL PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - David Weil is spearheading an eight-episode limited series at Amazon Studios about the famed cryptocurrency exchange, which recently imploded after "upwards of $2 billion in customer funds reportedly missing and investigations underway by federal agencies." Joe and Anthony Russo are in talks to direct and executive produce via their AGBO banner. Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes and Natalie Laine Williams will likewise executive produce.
