"Matt's is a longtime partner and good friend who has a natural ability to create unique and bold character-driven series that seamlessly weave together riveting action, incisive wit and heart," said Thorn. "Working with Matt is a thrill, and we're excited to reunite with him at FOX."

"I'm excited to be working with FOX again and thrilled to be reunited with Michael Thorn and his amazing team," said Nix. "They're redefining what it means to be a broadcast network, and it's great to be a part of that."

Nix is best known as the creator, writer and executive producer of the USA Network hit series Burn Notice, which ran from 2007 to 2014, spending several of those years as the highest-rated show on basic cable. He created and showran The Good Guys for FOX, created and showran Complications for USA, co-created and co-showran The Comedians for FX, developed and co-showran APB for FOX, created and showran the Marvel/X-men show The Gifted for FOX, and created and showran Turner & Hooch for Disney+. Nix additionally created the television adaptation of James Cameron's True Lies for CBS, which recently completed production on its first season and will premiere on March 1. Nix is represented by WME and attorney David Colden.

This week, FOX Entertainment unveiled a direct deal with Emmy and Grammy Award-winning producer, director, actor and recording artist Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson (Power, For Life). Last year, the company and Academy Award winning filmmaker Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Adam Rosenberg entered into an agreement to develop animated programming. Also last year, FOX signed broadcast direct deals with producers Carol Mendelsohn (CSI) and Julie Weitz, and writer/producer/director McG (Supernatural, Lethal Weapon, We Are Marshall). FOX's upcoming animated comedy, Krapopolis, from Emmy Award-winning creator Dan Harmon, is an outgrowth of his broadcast direct deal that was announced in 2020.
