DEPARTMENT, THE (Showtime) - George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures has signed a multiyear overall deal with 101 Studios, home of the upcoming drama series. (Deadline.com)
DILIGENCE (AMC, New!) - Sheldon Turner has sold a new drama to AMC Studios in which "when a former investigative journalist begins working for private intelligence firm Diligence, he finds himself influencing the news rather than reporting it. Alongside his former Mossad agent partner, he delves headfirst into the seedy world of private intelligence, never quite sure if the work he's doing is in the name of good or evil." Jennifer Klein of Vendetta Productions and Tana Jamieson and Barry Jossen of A+E Studios will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
HACKS (HBO Max) - Filming on the show's third season has been paused as star Jean Smart "has taken to social media to reveal she's recovering from a recent successful heart procedure." Production is expected to resume in mid-March. (Deadline.com)
HILLSONG: A MEGACHURCH EXPOSED (Discovery+) - New York Post Entertainment has signed a first-look unscripted deal with producer Asylum Entertainment Group. The company most recently partnered with Discovery+ on the limited series. (Deadline.com)

SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN (Netflix, New!) - Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese are spearheading a TV take on the Boom! Studios comic book series as part of a new eight-figure overall deal with the streamer: "When the children of Archer's Peak begin to go missing, everything seems hopeless. Most children never return, but the ones that do have terrible stories - impossible stories of terrifying creatures that live in the shadows. Their only hope of finding and eliminating the threat is the arrival of a mysterious stranger, one who believes the children and claims to see what they can see. Her name is Erica Slaughter. She kills monsters." Stephen Christy and Ross Richie will also executive produce, as will the comic's creators James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera. It's understood Trevor Macy and Mike Flanagan were previously attached the project a couple years ago but didn't move forward. (Deadline.com)
SUCCESSION (HBO) - Creator Jesse Armstrong has confirmed the show's upcoming fourth season will be its last. (NewYorker.com)
