MEXICO CITY - July 10, 2023 - Prime Video announced today that production has begun on Cada Minuto Cuenta, a dramatic series starring Osvaldo Benavides, Maya Zapata, Jesús Zavala and Antonio de la Vega, which portrays one of the greatest tests that Mexico has faced in its modern history. The series, produced by Traziende Films, adds to the Prime membership catalog and will premiere next year exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. Directed by Jorge Michel Grau (7:19, Lost), Every Minute Counts narrates how, in the aftermath of the terrible 1985 earthquake in Mexico City, a doctor tied to his past, a journalist in search of fame, and a family in crisis, they will be forced to risk their lives in extreme situations to save their own and those of thousands of others who were buried. In his titanic rescue efforts, every minute becomes an opportunity to rewrite his own destiny.
"Of all the dramatic stories we have experienced in Mexico in recent years, those related to the earthquakes are probably some of the most difficult to address," said Alonso Aguilar Castillo, who heads the Original Content team for Mexico at Prime Video. The series is produced by Amazon Studios and Traziende Films, with Juan Manuel Borbolla and Mónica Vargas as executive producers, based on a script by Alfredo Félix-Díaz, Victoria Orvañanos, Natalia Quevedo, Alejandro Valenzuela, Jorge Michel Grau and Venancio Villalobos. It is produced by Eric Reid and directed by Grau, Moisés Ortiz Urquidi, Alex Zuno and Analeine Cal y Mayor.

Dirigida por Jorge Michel Grau (7:19, Perdida), Cada Minuto Cuenta narra como, a raíz del terrible terremoto de 1985 en la Ciudad de México, un doctor atado a su pasado, una periodista en busca de fama, y una familia en crisis, se verán obligados a jugarse la vida en situaciones extremas para salvar a los suyos y a las de miles de personas más que quedaron enterradas. En sus labores titánicas de rescate, cada minuto se convierte en una oportunidad por reescribir su propio destino.
