Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

ALIEN (FX on Hulu) - Kit Young is the latest addition to the film-turned-TV series, which has suspended filming in Thailand as part of a planned break "to account for the SAG-AFTRA work stoppage." (Deadline.com, 8/28)
AMAZING RACE, THE (CBS) - Filming has already been completed on a 36th season of the series. It's understood the upcoming fall season was actually shot after said run to accommodate its expanded 90-minute time slot. (Variety.com, 8/30)
ANNE RICE'S INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE/WALKING DEAD, THE: DARYL DIXON/WALKING DEAD, THE: THE ONES WHO LIVE (AMC) - AMC Networks has struck agreements with SAG-AFTRA to resume production on all three projects. (Deadline.com, 8/31)
GREAT, THE (Hulu) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the period drama after three seasons. (Deadline.com, 8/30)
HOW I MET YOUR FATHER (Hulu) - The streamer has pulled the plug on the sequel series after two seasons. (Deadline.com, 9/1)
IDOL, THE (HBO) - The pay channel has nixed the much-ballyhooed series after one season. (Deadline.com, 8/28)
MAGNUM P.I./QUANTUM LEAP (NBC) - The network has revised its fall lineup on Wednesday nights: "Quantum Leap" will lead off the evening at 8:00/7:00c, followed by "Magnum P.I." at 9:00/8:00c, and various "Chicago" repeats at 10:00/9:00c ("Fire" from October 4-25, "P.D." from November 1-22, and "Med" from November 29-December 27). (NBC.com, 8/29)
MARVEL STUDIOS SERIES (Disney+) - The company has revised its rollout schedule for the coming months. Only "Loki" season two will remain stet on October 6 while "Echo" has been pushed from November 29 to January. "What If...?" season two will debut around Christmas Day after originally being targeted for an early 2023 release. Next up is "X-Men '97" in early 2024 (originally fall 2023) followed by the newly renamed "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" in early fall 2024 (originally winter 2023). Yet to be dated are "Ironheart" (originally this fall), "Daredevil: Born Again" and "Wonder Man," all of which have yet to be completed amid the strikes. (THR.com, 9/1)
NAUTILUS (Disney+) - The streamer has cut ties with its already completed Captain Nemo series as part of its ongoing content removal plans to cut costs. Producers Seven Stories and Moonriver Television will presumably shop the project elsewhere. (Deadline.com, 8/27)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, THE (Disney+) - The streamer's live-action series adaptation of the fantasy books has likewise been dropped in a cost cutting move. Paramount Television Studios is currently shopping the already completed project to other outlets. (Deadline.com, 8/26)
TOURIST, THE (Max) - The streamer will not be the U.S. home for the UK series' forthcoming second season. Additionally, the show's freshman run will leave the platform on September 8. No other potential outlets were given. (TVLine.com, 8/28)
TRIVIAL PURSUIT (The CW, New!) - LeVar Burton is on track to host a new game show based on the famed board game. Entertainment One is behind the project with Burton also executive producing via his LeVar Burton Entertainment. (Deadline.com, 8/31)
TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY (HBO) - The show's revival has been pushed from 2023 to a January 2024 premiere. (Deadline.com, 8/31)
YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TO LACEY (Peacock, New!) - Amber Ruffin is developing a small screen take on her book of the same name with her sister Lacey Lamar in which they "share absurd anecdotes about everyday experiences of racism." The project, which was sold to the streamer prior to the strike, is set up at Universal Television, Straight to Cards and Sethmaker Shoemeyers. Ruffin and Lamar are attached to pen script and executive produce alongside Jenny Hagel, Seth Meyers, Michael Shoemaker and Jason Carden. (Deadline.com, 8/31)
