CBS and The Golden Globes Announce a New Five-Year Deal
CBS' broadcast on Sunday, January 7 averaged 9.96 million viewers (Nielsen Live+7-Day national ratings), up nearly +50% from last year, its largest audience since 2020.

CBS AND THE GOLDEN GLOBES(R) ANNOUNCE A NEW FIVE-YEAR DEAL

March 25, 2024 - LOS ANGELES - CBS and The Golden Globe(R) Awards announced today a new five-year deal to broadcast the awards show on the Network and stream live on Paramount+. The new agreement kicks off with the January 2025 broadcast.

CBS' recent broadcast of the 81ST ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE(R) AWARDS on Sunday, Jan. 7 averaged 9.96 million viewers (Nielsen Live+7-Day national ratings), up nearly +50% from last year, its largest audience since 2020. The telecast was also the third-largest live-streamed CBS special event on Paramount+ ever in terms of AMA and reach.

"CBS' collaboration with the Globes for this year's broadcast was a big win for both of us and established strong momentum for awards shows in 2024," said George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS.
