CULVER CITY, California - March 27, 2024 - Today, Amazon MGM Studios announced that Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack are set to reprise their roles in A Simple Favor 2, with Paul Feig returning to direct. The highly anticipated sequel is a co-production with Lionsgate and follows the studio's 2018 release of A Simple Favor, which was a critical and commercial success, earning more than $97 million at the worldwide box office and achieving Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes. The script, which is based on characters by Darcy Bell, was written by Jessica Sharzer, who wrote the first film, with revisions by Laeta Kalogridis and Paul Feig.

Feigco Entertainment's Paul Feig and Laura Fischer are producing A Simple Favor 2, with Jessica Sharzer executive producing. In the film, we see the return of Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) as they head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily's extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square. The film is targeting a spring start-of-production and will be available to stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Anna Kendrick is an Oscar, Golden Globe, Tony, SAG, BAFTA, Emmy, and Independent Spirit Awards-nominated actress, producer, director, and New York Times bestselling author. Kendrick is making her directorial debut with the Netflix feature film Woman of the Hour, which will premiere this fall. She also produced and stars in the film. Kendrick has successfully stepped into the role of producer with a wide range of film, television, and streaming projects including Love Life for HBO Max, Netflix's sci-fi thriller Stowaway, and the psychological drama Alice, Darling for Lionsgate. Additional notable credits include Up in the Air, A Simple Favor, The Accountant, and the Pitch Perfect and Trolls franchises.

Blake Lively is an actor, director, producer, and entrepreneur known for her work starring in films such as A Simple Favor, The Shallows, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Age of Adeline, The Town, and in the television series Gossip Girl. In November 2021, Lively made her directorial debut for Taylor Swift's I Bet You Think About Me music video, which earned her two ACM Award nominations and a CMA nomination. Next, she can be seen starring in the film adaption of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel It Ends With Us. Additionally, she will make her feature film directorial debut for Searchlight with the adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel Seconds, written and produced by Edgar Wright alongside Marc Platt.

Paul Feig is a DGA-winning and Emmy-nominated filmmaker, writer, producer, author, and founder of production company Feigco Entertainment. He most recently served as the director, producer, and co-writer of The School for Good and Evil, which debuted as the #1 film on Netflix in 88 countries worldwide upon release. Up next, Feig directed and produced the action-comedy film Grand Death Lotto starring John Cena, Awkwafina and Simu Liu for Amazon MGM Studios. He has a proven track record of films that have grossed over one billion dollars worldwide including Bridesmaids, Last Christmas, The Heat, Ghostbusters, Spy, and A Simple Favor.

Henry Golding rose to fame with his star-making role in Crazy Rich Asians and quickly followed up with diverse roles in films such as A Simple Favor, The Gentlemen, Last Christmas, and the G.I. Joe franchise Snake Eyes. Golding next stars in Old Guard 2 for Netflix, Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Nacho Vigalondo's festival film Daniela Forever. Currently, he is in production on the second season of Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers opposite Nicole Kidman.

Andrew Rannells is a Grammy Award-winning and two-time Tony Award-nominated stage, film, and television actor who can soon be seen starring in Miss You, Love You opposite Allison Janney and directed by Jim Rash, I Don't Understand Youopposite Nick Kroll, and Lena Dunham's upcoming Netflix comedy series Too Much. On television, Rannells is most recently seen in the Hulu limited seriesWelcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel. Additionally, he starred in the Showtime series Black Monday opposite Don Cheadle and Regina Hall which earned him a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Joshua Satine most recently appeared in the Tony-winning Broadway production ofLeopoldstadt. Additional credits include Amazon MGM's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Hunters, The Watcher, Chicago Med, and Stella's Last Weekend.

Ian Ho is best known for his role in Chapelwaite opposite Adrien Brody as Tane Boone and in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as The First Servant. Ho has appeared in several dramatic and comedic roles including shows The Handmaid's Tale, A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting, Overlord and the Underwood's, The Expanse, and Kung Fu.

Kelly McCormack is an award-winning actor, filmmaker, and musician best known for playing the Peaches' shortstop in A League of Their Own for Amazon MGM Studios and for her role in the feature film Sugar Daddy. Additional credits include Paramount's George & Tammy and Julio Torres' Problemista.

Jessica Sharzer made her feature debut with Speak which she co-wrote and directed. The film, starring Kristen Stewart premiered at Sundance in 2004. Sharzer went on to write the feature film Nerve starring Emma Roberts and followed it up with the Paul Feig directed A Simple Favor starring Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick. In television, she was a co-executive producer on the FX series American Horror Story and Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers.
