Responding to ardent viewer devotion, Netflix officially renews The Believers for a second season. Season 1 made a sensational debut, soaring straight to the top spot on the Netflix Thailand charts in its first week and sparking intense conversations across Thai society. An impactful campaign led by The Believers Ltd., the pioneering charitable company in the country, also helped to generate buzz for The Believers throughout Thailand.
The series managed to spark a fervor for revered artifacts like the Pra Peung Luang amulet and turned the Phummaram Temple into a tourist attraction overnight. Alongside this phenomenon, the beloved character Monk Dol (Pup-Patchai Pakdeesusuk) has won over the hearts of audiences for months with his charisma and memorable quotes.
The Believers challenged entrenched beliefs through a narrative that sheds light on Buddhist economics in Thailand.
