MEDIA ALERT: FIRST LOOK IMAGES RELEASED OF ANNE-MARIE DUFF IN SECOND SERIES OF CHANNEL 4 AND BRITBOX INTERNATIONAL's THRILLING DRAMA "SUSPECT"

From Eagle Eye Drama (The Couple Next Door, Professor T), first look images have been released for the second series of Suspect, an eight-part drama which is coming to Channel 4 in the UK this Summer to stream and watch live and to BritBox International in the US and Canada in the Fall.

The second season picks up where the first left off, with Dr Susannah Newman (Anne-Marie Duff; Bad Sisters, The Salisbury Poisonings) on a quest to find the truth about her daughter's tragic death. When a mysterious new client Jon (Dominic Cooper; Preacher, Mamma Mia!) makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis, Susannah is forced to embark on her own deadly mission to save a life, the way she couldn't do with her own daughter...

Also joining the cast for the second series are Ben Miller (Professor T, Paddington 2) as Detective Superintendent Richard Groves, Tamsin Greig (Friday Night Dinner, Belgravia) as Natasha Groves, Vinette Robinson (Boiling Point, The Lazarus Project) as Louisa McAdams, Eddie Marsan (The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, Ray Donovan) as Alistair Underwood, Celine Buckens (Showtrial, The Ex-Wife) as Sapphire, Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy, For Life) as Joseph Buckley, and Gina McKee (Bodyguard, Our Friends in the North) as Kate.

The second series of Suspect will be directed by Carolina Giammetta (Before We Die, Hollington Drive) and has been written by Joy Wilkinson (Eps 1-5) and David Allison (Eps 6-8). Fremantle handle global sales for the series.

Suspect is adapted from the Danish original Forhøret (Face to Face) created by Christoffer Boe and written by Christoffer Boe and Anna Juul. The original series was produced by Miso Film, a Fremantle company, and executive produced by Christoffer Boe, Jonas Allen and Peter Bose who also serve as Executive Producers on Suspect.

The series has been produced in association with Happy Duck Films and the Belgian Tax Shelter.
