17-time GRAMMY(R) Award-winning artist Sting, and comedian, writer and director Jerry Seinfeld made surprise appearances.

The special celebrated Joel's record-breaking 100th consecutive residency performance at Madison Square Garden.

Joel performed some of his iconic songs, including "New York State of Mind" and "Piano Man," and the new hit "Turn the Lights Back On."

This was Billy Joel's first concert to air on a broadcast network.
