CBS PRESENTS "YOU'RE LAUGHING AT CBS," A LIGHT-HEARTED CAMPAIGN CELEBRATING THE NETWORK'S LAUGH-OUT-LOUD "SIT-DOWN" COMEDIES

CBS is launching "You're Laughing at CBS," a movement highlighting its quartet of fall comedies premiering next month - and celebrating the laughter and fun CBS generates through its comedies. As part of the campaign, CBS is officially rebranding the meaning of "sitcom" from situational comedy to "sit-down" comedy.

The Network's current comedy hits, GHOSTS and THE NEIGHBORHOOD, will soon be joined by the highly anticipated new series POPPA'S HOUSE and GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE. While others tout their stand-up comedy, CBS is reinforcing its brand of sit-down comedies, which provide audiences with a simple reason to be fully engaged while, yes, sitting down: lots and lots of satisfying laughs!

In addition to the sitcom genre rebrand, CBS will host a night of in-person sit-down comedy emceed and attended by talent from the Network's popular shows and will debut a chuckling CBS eye logo, an array of "You're Laughing at CBS" on-air/social content - and more!

"Viewers love our comedies and sit down for evenings of 'laughing at CBS' - so, with an eye on not taking ourselves too seriously, we were inspired to launch the 'You're Laughing at CBS' comedy campaign this fall," said Mike Benson, president and chief marketing officer for CBS. "We invite audiences to sit down, relax and tune-in to our two returning and two new 'sit-down' comedies, which we're tagging with laughing CBS eye logos as our pledge of delivering many more laughs to come on CBS."

Details on the campaign elements follow:

· "CBS Presents: You're Laughing at CBS: A Night of 'Sit-Down' Comedy" - On Wednesday, Sept. 18, CBS Monday night comedy stars Max Greenfield (THE NEIGHBORHOOD) and Damon Wayans Jr. (POPPA'S HOUSE) will emcee a night of laughs for lucky fans, tastemakers and press at NeueHouse, the iconic site of L.A.'s original CBS Studios, once home to the filming of CBS' beloved classic I LOVE LUCY. With a nod to CBS' "sit-down comedy" theme, the evening will kick off with a first-of-its kind "sit-and-repeat" press line. The event will also feature a Q&A session with TBA CBS comedy talent, previews of new CBS fall comedy series POPPA'S HOUSE and GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST WEDDING, and advance peeks at the upcoming seasons of hit series GHOSTS and THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

· "You're Laughing at CBS" Content from Comedy Casts - The casts of GHOSTS, THE NEIGHBORHOOD, POPPA'S HOUSE and GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE are inviting viewers to laugh at them - and at CBS - in clever behind-the-scenes-inspired videos to run on-air and socially. · ICYMI On Demand Sampling of Comedies' Season Premiere Episodes - Viewers who missed the season premieres of GHOSTS and GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE (Thurs., Oct. 17) or POPPA'S HOUSE and THE NEIGHBORHOOD (Monday, Oct. 21), can catch up via the free content hub on Paramount+ https://www.paramountplus.com/collections/watch-free/ from Oct. 22 through Nov. 4.

· CBS Introduces the Chuckling Blue Stamp - Based on the iconic CBS eye logo, the laughing Chuckle will certify for viewers that a show is a guaranteed-laugh/"sit-down" CBS comedy.

· CBS Guarantees a Laugh-a-Day Starting with Premiere Week - Wherever fans sit down and connect with CBS - on-air, streaming (Paramount+/CBS AVOD), on a commute or on social media - the Network pledges 365 days of content for laughing at CBS.

· CBS Reaches Out to Merriam-Webster to Rename and Redefine the Sitcom - CBS has officially reached out to Merriam-Webster to update the definition of "sitcom" to "sit-down comedy."
