FOX ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS NAMES HANNAH PILLEMER AS HEAD OF SCRIPTED ENTERTAINMENT AND ALLISON WALLACH AS HEAD OF UNSCRIPTED ENTERTAINMENT

Studio President Fernando Szew Announces Creative Leadership Team as Newly Restructured FOX Entertainment Division Takes Form

October 16, 2024, Los Angeles, CA - Fernando Szew, President & Head of FOX Entertainment Studios names Hannah Pillemer as Head of Scripted Entertainment and Allison Wallach as Head of Unscripted Entertainment. Following the restructuring of FOX Entertainment earlier this year into three key business units - FOX Entertainment Studios, FOX Television Network and distribution arm FOX Entertainment Global - these key executive appointments round out Szew's senior creative leadership team.

"I am honored to be working alongside Hannah and Allison as we build the future of the new FOX Entertainment Studios. They are both incredibly talented creative executives with strong business acumen and a global point of view who will catapult our ability to create the kinds of unexpected, unforgettable scripted and unscripted original content that will define the FOX brand going forward," said Szew. "I'm energized and grateful to work with these incredible leaders, the teams they're building and the relationships they continue to foster across the global creative community."

Pillemer, who served previously as EVP Creative & Production at MarVista Entertainment, founded and led by Szew, which FOX Entertainment purchased in 2021, leads all development, creative and production for FOX Entertainment Studios' full portfolio of scripted content. FOX Entertainment Studio's scripted brand focuses on inventive and bold ways of storytelling with global appeal, working closely with in-house linear platform, FOX Television Network, on comedy series Animal Control with Joel McHale and the upcoming midseason comedy Going Dutch with Denis Leary -- to partnering with a growing roster of third-party buyers worldwide. In addition, Pillemer oversees the prolific production pipeline of nearly 100 made-for-platform movies annually, as well as successful drama series, including Hallmark's award-winning The Way Home with Andie MacDowell, now in its third season, and The Chicken Sisters on Hallmark+, starring Lea Thompson and Wendie Malick. FOX Entertainment scripted studios is also the exclusive provider of holiday movies for OWN and a major pipeline of holiday films for leading linear cable networks. Pillemer also launched the company's new independent production label, Tideline, which champions storytellers 'unique perspectives, unveiled in January 2024 at the Sundance Film Festival. Tideline recently announced its upcoming drama feature film Slanted, from writer/director/producer Amy Wang ("Crazy Rich Asians 2," "The Brothers Sun").

Wallach, who has been instrumental in building FOX's winning portfolio of culture-defining content in the unscripted space will now oversee all development, creative, and production for the Studios' full scope of worldwide unscripted entertainment with a goal of continuing to power FOX Television Network and strengthening the Studios' business with third-party platforms in the US and around the world. The diverse portfolio under Allison's leadership include content from studio engines: FOX Alternative Entertainment, home to The Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice; Studio Ramsay Global, a partnership with culinary icon Gordon Ramsay, highlighted by the hit cooking competition Next Level Chef and recently announced Gordon Ramsay docuseries on Netflix ; Entertainment studio TMZ, which recently released TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy on Tubi; and an expanding roster of international studio partners, including Ireland's Bigger Stage. She also oversees a growing number of global formats, such as the celebrity competition Beat My Mini-Mes (TF1/France), dating series Marriage Market (ProSieben/Germany); and celebrity performance competition Celebrity Masterpiece (Workpoint/Thailand), among others.
