Emerson Will Join Wife Carrie Preston Onscreen in a Recurring Role on Season Two of the Hit Series from CBS Television Network and CBS Studios

Oct. 20, 2024 - CBS Studios and the CBS Television Network announced today that Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson has joined the second season of ELSBETH in a recurring role beginning with an episode airing Thursday, Dec. 12 on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

The announcement was made during today's ELSBETH panel at New York Comic-Con that featured a sneak peek at the upcoming Halloween episode and an exclusive conversation with co-creators and executive producers Robert and Michelle King, showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tolins and cast members Carrie Preston and Wendell Pierce. Additional episode dates will be announced at a later date.

Produced by CBS Studios, ELSBETH stars Emmy Award winner Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, the astute but unconventional consent decree attorney working with the NYPD to catch New York's most well-heeled murderers utilizing her unique point of view. Season two of the critically acclaimed series brings new cases and challenges when mistakes of the past come back to haunt Elsbeth, her boss Captain Wagner (Wendell Pierce) and detective-in-training Officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson).

Widely known for captivating and mysterious roles, Michael Emerson is a two-time Emmy Award winner for his roles on "The Practice" and "Lost." Emerson starred as Leland Townsend on EVIL, which recently wrapped its fourth and final season on Paramount+.
