QUEENSLAND, Australia - November 5, 2024 - Prime Video, Guesswork Television, and OK Great Productions today announced that Australian actor Luke Hemsworth will join lead cast members Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner in Season Two of the Prime Video global hit series, Deadloch.

In the new season, Dulcie and Eddie are in Darwin investigating the death of Eddie's former policing partner, Bushy, but when a body is discovered in a remote town, they are flung into a new sweatier, stickier investigation.

Created and written by powerhouse comedy minds, Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, Hemsworth (Westworld, Thor: Love & Thunder) will play Jason Wade, creator and star of 'Jason Wade's Adventures Down Under' and the owner of 'Jason Wade's Land of Crocs and Other Animals' Wildlife Park.

Having completed filming in the Northern Territory, production has now moved to Queensland, utilising the Brisbane studios and for cast safety, the less croc infested waters.

Creators, executive producers and writers Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan said, "Luke Hemsworth is joining our cast as croc-wrangling Territory icon, Jason Wade. We're feeling very happy with ourselves about this because he's perfect. It's perfect casting."

Previously announced new cast members include; Steve Bisley (The Great Gatsby, Mystery Road: Origin, Mad Max), Shari Sebbens (The Sapphires, Thor: Love and Thunder and The Office), Jean Tong (Safe Home, Heartbreak High), Genevieve Morris (Bloom, No Activity), Byron Coll (Time Bandits, The Luminaries), Nikki Britton (How to Stay Married), Anthony J Sharpe (Joe v Carole, Human Error), Blake Pavey (Urvi Went to an All Girls School), Damien Garvey (The Artful Dodger, Jack Irish, Rake), Ngali Shaw (The Twelve, Ladies in Black), Bev Killick (Savage River, Jones Family Christmas), Ling Cooper-Tang (Troppo, Apples Never Fall, Nautilus), Ursula Yovich (Top End Wedding, Mystery Road and the upcoming Top End Bub), Syd Brisbane (High Country, Stateless), Ines English (Last Days of the Space Age) and Lennox Monaghan (Windcatcher).

About OK Great Productions

Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan formed Ok Great Productions in 2019 to make a slate of projects that propel the voices of funny people. Together they have created the narrative comedy, Bleak - an award-winning 4-part web series about Life shitting on your face - which was later made into a 30-minute pilot for Australia's national broadcaster, the ABC.

In 2014, the Kates created The Katering Show, an 8 x 10 min web-series about an intolerable foodie (McLennan) and her food intolerant friend (McCartney) - which they wrote and directed, and also produced with Tamasin Simpkin. The first season of The Katering Show debuted on Youtube in 2015 and was viewed over 2 million times within its first week online. To date, the channel has over 100,000 subscribers and episodes have had over 9 million views. The series won 'Best of the Fest' and 'Best Short-Form Digital Series' at the New York Television Festival and was nominated for a 'Best Indie Web Series' at the Streamy Awards (US). In Australia, ABC's catch-up service, iView, commissioned a second season of the show and this production remains one of the platform's highest viewed original series. The Katering Show has also aired on ABC TV's main channel.

In 2017, McCartney and McLennan set their sights on the chirpy world of morning television with their full length satirical comedy Get Krack!n, which was made with the ABC and NBC's SVOD service Seeso.
