MEET "JAY & PAMELA": TLC'S NEW SERIES CELEBRATES A HEARTWARMING JOURNEY OF LOVE, FAMILY AND DETERMINATION

Premieres Tuesday, March 4 at 10/9c on TLC

NEW YORK, NY (February 4, 2025) - TLC announces JAY & PAMELA, a heartfelt new series following a couple who also happen to share the same rare brittle bone disorder. Their lives are full of unique and difficult physical challenges, but their enduring enthusiasm is contagious. With plans to marry and a goal to live more independently, Jay and Pamela navigate the world in their motorized wheelchairs, determined to build the life of their dreams together. JAY & PAMELA premieres Tuesday, March 4 at 10/9c on TLC.

At 3 feet and four inches tall (although Pamela insists she's a bit taller than Jay), Jay and Pamela's journey is a testament to resilience. Both born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 (OI), a condition that causes fragile bones, doctors once predicted they wouldn't live past five, or even one. Yet, at 28 and 30, they've defied the odds, even though they've had over 200 bone fractures throughout their lives.

Jay and Pamela met online, bonded over their shared experiences, fell in love, and eventually, Pamela moved across state lines to come live with Jay and his supportive parents, Raphael and Rene. Although they have a finished basement apartment in the family home, the couple crave more privacy and independence. They yearn to one day move out of the basement and into their own place -- but disagree on where that should be. Jay is happy to stay in the suburbs, whereas Pamela, restless after years in the basement, would love to be in the city. But finding any place that meets their needs as disabled power chair users proves to be harder than expected. Raphael's tough-love approach prepares them for the challenges of independence, while Rene, a maternal figure, has become like a second mother to Pamela, who is estranged from her own family. Pamela misses her parents and siblings, who live over 700 miles away, and she hopes more than anything that they will be there on her wedding day.

Despite immense challenges, Jay and Pamela do not let their condition hold them back and always live their lives to the absolute fullest. During the season viewers will not only follow their whirlwind wedding planning journey but will also see their many adventures with their beloved fur baby - an adorable dog named Cheddar! With an inspiring love story that is truly one in a million, Jay and Pamela are a power couple proving that although their bones are brittle, their bond is unbreakable.

Fans on TikTok have already been getting to know Jay and Pamela in an original multipart TLC digital series which follows their journey adopting Cheddar, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday on the platform. Check out the first couple of episodes on TikTok here.
