WHAT: Fix My Frankenhouse

WHERE/WHEN: Fix My Frankenhouse premieres Wednesday, April 2, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.

WHO: Hodge-podge properties with odd additions and piecemeal redesigns will get a renovation re-do in a new season of HGTV's Fix My Frankenhouse, which attracted more than 11.7 million viewers to its freshman run. During the fresh eight episodes, Boston-based home renovation experts and husband-wife team Mike and Denese Butler will fix these "Frankenstein" houses and create fresh floor plans that work for today's families. After uncovering major issues caused by wonky layouts, misplaced staircases and maze-like hallways, Mike will employ his construction know-how to create a functional flow, while Denese will capture their clients' style with custom finishes. By blending elements of the older homes' charm with modern design, the couple will produce stunning, cohesive spaces for homeowners.

In the season premiere, cameras will follow the couple as they grapple with Mike's decision to leave his corporate job and commit full-time to their growing home renovation and design business. While they consider, Mike and Denese will tour their next project, a 1970s "Frankenhouse" with wasted spaces, mismatched kitchen cabinets and a dangerous spiral staircase. The duo's design vision will maximize the main level floorplan, creating a dream kitchen with a unique island and dining table combo and a kids' drop zone with tons of storage. In addition, Mike and Denese's dads, master carpenters John Butler and Peter Doyle, will offer their expertise and build one-of-a-kind pieces for the renovations, such as a barn door, built-in cabinetry and repurposed furniture.

HGTV's digital and social platforms will offer exclusive content from the new season at HGTV.com and by following @HGTV and #FixMyFrankenhouse on Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, TikTok and Threads. Fans also can follow Mike (@thehandybutler) and Denese (@denesebutler) on Instagram. Each new episode of Fix My Frankenhouse will be available to stream the next day on Max(R) beginning April 3.
