"NEW AMSTERDAM" CREATOR DAVID SCHULNER JOINS CREATIVE TEAM OF NEW FOX DRAMA SERIES "MEMORY OF A KILLER" AS AN EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-SHOWRUNNER

"New Amsterdam" creator David Schulner has joined the creative team of the new FOX drama series MEMORY OF A KILLER, from Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment. Schulner will be an executive producer of the series alongside Ed Whitmore, Tracey Malone, and Cathy Schulman. Whitmore, Malone, and Schulner will serve as co-showrunners.

Inspired by the 2003 award-winning Belgian film "De Zaak Alzheimer" ("La Memoire Du Tueur"), MEMORY OF A KILLER is a dramatic thriller starring Emmy(R) nominee Patrick Dempsey ("Grey's Anatomy," "Dexter: Original Sin," "Ferrari") as a hitman, Angelo Ledda, leading a dangerous double life while hiding an even deadlier personal secret - he has developed early onset Alzheimer's. Emmy winner Michael Imperioli ("The White Lotus," "The Sopranos") stars opposite Dempsey in the role of Dutch, Angelo's oldest friend and an accomplished chef whose restaurant is a front for a criminal enterprise.

Schulner is perhaps best known as the creator of the medical drama "New Amsterdam," which ran for five seasons on NBC. For his work on the series, Schulner was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for Episodic Drama. He started his television career on Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz's beloved drama "Once and Again" and went on to create the series "Do No Harm" and "The Oaks." Other credits include the award-winning first year of "Desperate Housewives," "Everwood," "Kings," "Tell Me You Love Me," and "Emerald City."

As a playwright, Schulner's plays have been produced Off Broadway at the Atlantic Theater, the Old Globe, Long Wharf Theater, and at Sundance. Schulner is also the creator of "Clone," a popular comic published by Image/Skybound, the imprint of Robert Kirkman ("The Walking Dead").

MEMORY OF A KILLER is produced by Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment. The series is from Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, who executive produce alongside Cathy Schulman of Welle Entertainment and David Schulner. Whitmore, Malone, and Schulner will serve as co-showrunners. Arthur Sarkissian and Martin Campbell are also executive producers, along with Peter Bouckaert of Eyeworks.
