9-1-1: NASHVILLE (ABC) - Gregory Alan Williams, MacKenzie Porter, and Tim Matheson are all slated to recur on the newcomer: Williams as Harold Foster, "a fire station chief"; Porter as Samantha Hart, "an ER doctor at a Nashville hospital"; and Matheson as Edward, "southern old money, and utterly ruthless." ANNA PIGEON (USA Network) - Paulina Alexis and Tricia Helfer have both boarded the series. Alexis will play Zoey Bear Child, "a young ranger coming into her own who considers Anna a mentor." And Helfer will play Molly Pigeon, "Anna's older sister and a psychiatrist working in New York." (Variety.com, 8/12)
BLACKOUT ROOM (HBO, New!) - Writer/director Edson Oda has booked a "high-concept mystery thriller drama" at the network: "Blackout Room takes place In a near future where every single moment of everyone's life is streamed 24/7 to the rest of the world. One woman becomes the object of global obsession when her son somehow disappears without a trace." Craig Mazin, Jacqueline Lesko and Cecil O'Connor of Mazin's Word Games will also executive produce. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (REBOOT SERIES) (Hulu) - Merrin Dungey, Audrey Hsieh, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Chase Sui Wonders will guest star in the pilot: Dungey as Ms. LaDuca, "the college counselor at New Sunnydale Academy"; Hsieh and Marshall as Keiko and Jessica, respectively, "high school students and members of the academy's Evangelical Christian group"; and Wonders as Shirley, who "is believed to be a vampire." COUNT MY LIES (Hulu) - Shailene Woodley will star opposite Lindsay in the limited series based on the novel by Sophie Stava: "In Count My Lies, when compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart, it seems she's finally landed her dream job. But little does Sloane know, she's just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode - with potentially catastrophic consequences for all." MADISON, THE/SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS (Paramount+) - Both Taylor Sheridan series are expected to be renewed under the streamer's new regime: "an early Season 2 renewal for 'The Madison,' starring Michelle Pfeiffer, ahead of its series debut on Paramount+, and a long-awaited Season 3 pickup for 'Lioness.'" MONSTER VOLUME 3 (Netflix) - Charlie Hall will recur on the anthology series as the real-life Deputy Frank Worden: "The deputy was the son of Bernice Worden, owner of a hardware store and Gein's final victim. Alongside Waushara County Sheriff Arthur Schley, the lead investigator of the Gein investigation, Deputy Worden discovered his mother's remains at the family store. He played an essential role in Gein's identification, which led to his arrest." (Deadline.com, 8/13)
PITT, THE (HBO Max) - Emmy nominee Shawn Hatosy will direct an episode in season two in addition to reprising his role of Dr. Jack Abbot. (Deadline.com, 8/15)

STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE (HBO Max) - Ryan Cartwright, Josh Brener, and Tommy Walker will recur on "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off series: Cartwright as Kyle, "believed to be a comic book nerd and a daily patron of Stuart's book store"; Brener as Trevor; and Walker as Gary, "said to be Denise's handsome new boyfriend." UNTITLED PAUL REISER PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Paul Reiser has sold a multi-camera comedy to the network and FOX Entertainment Studios: "The untitled multi-camera comedy series, currently in development, follows the dysfunctional fallout after the family's failed-to-launch 20-something son is forced to work alongside his father (Reiser) in the less-than-glamourous New Jersey damaged goods business." Reiser penned the script with his son, Leon Reiser, and Adam F. Goldberg. Paul Reiser and Goldberg will also executive produce alongside The Nacelle Company's Brian Volk-Weiss, Michael Pelmont, and Matt Ochacher; with Leon Reiser serving as a producer. (Deadline.com, 8/11)
WATSON (CBS) - Noah Mills will recur on the series as Beck Wythe, "who has newly returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh after blowing up a career in Silicon Valley with reckless, risk-seeking behavior.
