The stage is set for a new era of competition as Netflix sets October 28 for the global premiere of Physical: Asia, the first-ever cross-border edition of its wildly popular competition franchise. The newly released teaser poster and trailer showcase monumental quests and fierce rivalries awaiting viewers as 48 athletes from eight countries -
Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines - compete for national pride.
After the iconic Greek temple motif of Season 1 and the gritty underground mines of Season 2, Physical: Asia raises the stakes with an epic new setting and quests. From a colossal sinking ship to fortress-style battles, the series seamlessly weaves in elements of Korean and Asian culture, promising a visual spectacle and heart-pounding challenges at every turn. The footage also teases heated rivalries, including a Korea-Japan clash, and features global sports icons such as boxing legend Manny Pacquiao (Philippines), former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker (Australia), and Korean UFC pioneer Dong Hyun Kim.
Showrunner Jang Hogi highlighted the staggering production scale this season: "We built the set across an area the size of five soccer fields, using 1,200 tons of sand and 40 tons of steel. This season delivers stories, quests, and physical battles unlike anything audiences have seen."
With intense feats, iconic athletes, and fierce national rivalries, Physical: Asia promises to be the most electrifying season yet. The countdown is on: don't miss the action when Physical: Asia premieres October 28, only on Netflix.
