Los Angeles, CA - Now in its seventh year, OWN announces the highly anticipated return of its annual 'OWN For the Holidays' programming event with three uplifting new movies celebrating the true meaning and warmth of the season: "Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Christmas Showdown" and "Very Merry Mystery." Viewers can cozy up and celebrate the season with three heartwarming premieres over three consecutive Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT, beginning November 29.

OWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS 2025

Saturdays 9pm-11pm ET/PT - November 29, December 6 and December 13

"Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" premieres Saturday, November 29 at 9pm ET/PT

Starring Kiki Layne ("The Old Guard") and Etienne Maurice ("Mistletoe & Matrimony")

When reserved professor Maya (Layne) tells a little white lie about being in a relationship with an unconscious stranger, she never expects to get swept up in the stranger's family's holiday plans. Things are made even more complicated by her undeniable chemistry with her "boyfriend's" doctor, Daniel (Maurice), who just so happens to be her ex.

"The Christmas Showdown" premieres Saturday, December 6 at 9pm ET/PT

Starring Amber Stevens West ("Run the World"), Corbin Reid ("Run the World"), Loretta Devine ("Family Reunion"); also featuring Obba Babatunde and Carla Renata

Former childhood best friends, April (Reid) and Chastity (Stevens West), haven't spoken ever since April bailed on their plan to move to New York, choosing Paris instead to chase her dream as an event producer. When her career fizzles, April returns home and unexpectedly crosses paths with Chastity, who is also out of work, and desperate for a fresh start. Both women set their sights on the same event design job for the upcoming Sugar Heights Christmas Eve Spectacular. But to impress Hen (Devine), the event producer overseeing the show, they'll need to mend old wounds and work as a team. What begins as a friendly rivalry, quickly escalates to an all-out holiday showdown.

"Very Merry Mystery" premieres Saturday, December 13 at 9pm ET/PT

Starring Ashleigh Murray ("The Other Black Girl") and Tristan Mack Wilds ("Swagger")

Known for her unmatched hairstyling skills and her infectious love of Christmas, beloved beauty shop owner Bea (Murray) is the bedrock of Goldfern, GA. When she attends a Christmas Murder Mystery party at the mansion of a hard-nosed businesswoman, the evening takes a shocking turn when the host goes missing and a ransom note is found. To solve the crime, Bea must team up with her boyfriend, Troy (Mack Wilds), who is also a newly promoted detective.

The movies are produced by FOX Entertainment Studios for OWN.
