MEDIA ALERT: THE PEACOCK ACTION COMEDY "TWISTED METAL" HAS BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 3
The Peacock action comedy "Twisted Metal" has been renewed for season three. David Reed, who has an extended deal with Sony Pictures Television, will be joining as showrunner
Bio: David Reed is a WGA Award-nominated writer, director and producer from the middle of nowhere, Wisconsin. Currently a writer and executive producer on Prime Video's hit series "The Boys," he's also written for "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds," "The Magicians," "Aquarius," "Revolution" and "Supernatural." Reed has sold pilots to BBC Worldwide, CBS, Tomorrow Studios and FX, and is currently under an overall TV deal at Sony Pictures Television. In addition to his TV work, he's also written novels, comic books and video games and has a passion for the intersection of new technology and entertainment. He divides his time between Los Angeles and rural Wisconsin with his wife, Mairin (also a writer), their three sons and very rambunctious Golden Retriever, Phoebe Waffles-Bridge.
Michael Jonathan Smith will be concluding his involvement as showrunner and executive producer.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
"Twisted Metal" stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett.
David Reed will executive produce the series alongside Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Will Arnett and Marc Forman (Electric Ave) also executive produce with Anthony Mackie (Make It Gravy Productions), Jason Spire (Inspire Entertainment), Peter Principato (Artists First), Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions, and Hermen Hulst, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment's Studio Business.
