NEW YORK - February 26, 2026 - Today, Prime Video announced a March 19 premiere date and debuted the official trailer and key art for Meal Ticket, a feature-length documentary from Roc Nation, Known Originals, and Creative Control that chronicles the history of a storied basketball tradition - the McDonald's All American Games. The documentary will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Meal Ticket is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Candace, Shaq - before these legends made it big, they had to prove themselves on the same parquet floor: the magical McDonald's All American Games. Since 1977, basketball's most famous annual exhibitions of next-generation talent have catapulted high school seniors into the NBA and WNBA, and, for many, turned their dreams of superstardom into reality.
Meal Ticket tells the story of this epic cultural phenomenon through the eyes of the legends it's created, the lives it's changed, and the communities it's transformed. Production began in 2022 and includes coverage from the 2022 and 2023 Games, in addition to other historical moments from the showcase.
Interviews include McDonald's All Americans Blake Griffin, JJ Redick, Grant Hill, Flau'jae Johnson, Jalen Rose, Seimone Augustus, Patrick Ewing, Dereck Lively II, Candace Parker, Dominique Wilkins, Tracy McGrady, Paul Pierce, Breanna Stewart, Alonzo Mourning, A'ja Wilson, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Chris Mullin, among others. The film celebrates the contributions of legendary coaches John Wooden and Morgan Wootten, who helped bring the concept of the country's premier high school all-star game to life.
Directed by first-time directors Carlton Gerard Sabbs and Corey Colvin and produced by Billy Burke, Meal Ticket is from Roc Nation, Known Originals, and Creative Control. Meal Ticket is executive produced by Juan Perez and Lori York of Roc Nation, Ross Martin and Kern Schireson of Known Originals, and Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah of Creative Control. The documentary is a co-production of Prime Video Sports and Known Originals.
The 2026 McDonald's All American Games is bringing high school basketball's biggest stage to Phoenix on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The nation's top 48 high school girls and boys basketball players will take over Desert Diamond Arena for a night of can't miss competition.
