'The Predator of Seville' premieres on Netflix on 27 March
Netflix announces the premiere on 27 March of The Predator of Seville, a new docuseries that reconstructs the case of a tour guide accused of assaulting several foreign students in Spain.
For years, Manuel Blanco was known among international students as "Manu White", a friendly guide who organised cheap trips across Spain. But behind that image lay a far darker story. The case came to light when several young women began to connect experiences of abuse that had previously seemed unrelated.
The new Netflix docuseries, produced by Atresmedia in collaboration with Ana Pastor - Newtral (Nevenka: Breaking the Silence) and directed by Alejandro Olvera (Asesinas), tells, through the testimonies of Gabrielle Vega, other victims, previously unseen materials and an investigation that unfolds over several years, how a travel network for international students became the setting for a series of assaults that remained hidden for years.
About The Predator of Seville:
Gabrielle Vega was 19 when she travelled to Spain from the United States to improve her Spanish before starting university. Everything seemed perfect until she booked a trip with Discover Excursions, a company specialising in organising low-cost trips for international students. During the weekend getaway, the guide responsible for accompanying her invited her out for drinks and later sexually assaulted her.
After many years feeling guilty and keeping her secret from everyone, Gabrielle decides to make her story public on a well-known television programme. She soon discovers that dozens of American women who do not know each other have experienced something similar. And they all have one thing in common: the same person - Manu White, the man who presents himself as 'the Prince of Seville'.
About Newtral:

The company operates across three main areas: audiovisual production (El Objetivo on La Sexta, Nevenka on Netflix and Un SueƱo Real on HBO) and the use of Artificial Intelligence in journalism through fact-checking (data verification).
