This Spring, PBS Celebrates the Earth with Compelling Stories and Transformative Insights
ARLINGTON, VA; March 18, 2026 - This April, PBS invites viewers to celebrate Earth Month with a curated line-up of programming. April's slate of broadcast, digital, and streaming programming features global stories and centers leading scientific voices. Feel caution and hope with OUR NEW WORLD, follow the journey of orphan elephants in NATURE: BECOMING ELEPHANT: THE ORPHANS OF RETITI, visit a national park that has housed tigers for half a century in NATURE: THE LEGENDARY TIGERS OF INDIA, follow a Peruvian community's quest for survival in NOVA "Rain Bombs," experience the magic of coexisting with wildlife in WILDING and SHARED PLANET and travel millions of miles around the world with David Attenborough in LIFE ON EARTH: ATTENBOROUGH'S GREATEST ADVENTURE. Discover new adventures with PBS KIDS, including new content from WILD KRATTS, ELINOR WONDERS WHY, and CYBERCHASE. PBS KIDS will also feature an Earth Month playlist with nature-themed episodes from WEATHER HUNTERS, DANIEL TIGER'S NEIGHBORHOOD, MOLLY OF DENALI, and more, bringing Earth Month education and inspiration to young audiences across the country.

OUR NEW WORLD

How are ecosystems being reshaped? OUR NEW WORLD highlights nature's extraordinary capacity for adaptation, following scientists and communities on the front lines of a changing planet. From shifting forests to evolving marine habitats, the series showcases the real-time transformation of our natural world.
NATURE: BECOMING ELEPHANT: THE ORPHANS OF RETETI
Premieres: Wednesday, April 8, 8PM ET on PBS, PBS.org and PBS app
Follow the journey of orphaned elephants at Reteti, the first community-owned elephant sanctuary in Africa. Raised by Samburu keepers who act as surrogate parents, these elephants, rescued from poaching or drought, are nurtured and prepared for life in the wild. Also hear the story of the local "milk mamas," who bring hundreds of gallons of goats' milk to Reteti to feed the young elephants daily.
NATURE: THE LEGENDARY TIGERS OF INDIA

In the jungles of northwestern India there is a mystic fort that has stood for more than a thousand years. For centuries, rulers battled over its control and its tigers hunted. Today, Ranthambore National Park is home to the most filmed, most studied and most famous tigers on Earth. This is their story of 50 years, told by Valmik Thapar, the tiger expert who devoted his life to keeping them alive.

The film reveals the little-known story of David Attenborough's greatest undertaking: a three-year, hair-raising odyssey around the world, traveling to 40 countries across a million miles, to film over 600 species, resulting in a new kind of blockbuster series - LIFE ON EARTH.

CYBERCHASE turns "repair, reuse, reduce" into an action-packed mission. The Squad tries to uncover why everyone's scooters are breaking in Botsburg and launches a place to fix them using math and engineering skills. Back home, Jackie tests her new fixing skills on a broken family heirloom.
WILD KRATTS "The Butternut Tree"
Premieres: Monday, April 20 on PBS KIDS
Martin and Chris stumble upon a rare and endangered seedling of a butternut tree. While looking for its parent tree, they only discover dead and broken ones. Finally, they find a big healthy tree and begin a Creature Power investigation into why some of the trees are dying and some aren't. Could genetic coding be the answer?
ELINOR WONDERS WHY

"Melting Point / Mr. Raccoon's Bad Day"
While delivering chocolates, the kids learn that warmer temperatures can melt their treats. / After Mr. Raccoon is having a bad day, the kids help him calm down using nature.
"Mother's Day / Tricks of the Jade"
When the store is out of chocolate for Mother's Day, Elinor and her dad learn how to make their own. / After accidentally breaking a jade plant, the kids learn how the plant grows.

LIFE UNEARTHED WITH ARIEL WALDMAN
LIFE UNEARTHED with Ariel Waldman is a visually striking science-driven docu-series that reveals Earth's ecosystems through radical shifts in scale - from microscopic wildlife to the planet's most iconic animals - and even the possibilities of life beyond Earth.
