First Look at You Don't Know Where I'm From, Dawg from CBS Sports
March 26, 2026 - Paramount+ today announced an April 14 U.S. premiere date for the new docuseries You Don't Know Where I'm From, Dawg, a comprehensive look at the life and career of American soccer legend Clint Dempsey. The five-episode series traces Dempsey's dramatic and improbable journey from a trailer park in Nacogdoches, Texas to starring for the U.S. at the FIFA World Cup.
Through exclusive interviews of Dempsey, those closest to him, and the game's legends with whom he shared the stage, this series examines one of the most unique and fiery professional athletes the United States has ever produced.
Viewers are taken through pivotal moments in Dempsey's life - from managing through personal tragedy, moving across the world to play professionally in England, and ascending to become one of, if not the best, men's soccer players in U.S. history.
Notable interview subjects featured in the docuseries include a cast of former teammates, opponents and coaches including Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards, Gareth Bale, Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Jozy Altidore, Bruce Arena, Bob Bradley, Jürgen Klinsmann and Roy Hodgson, among others.
You Don't Know Where I'm From, Dawg is produced in partnership with CBS Sports and directed by 45-time Emmy winner and CBS Sports' Sr. Creative Director Pete Radovich. The series is also produced by 14-time Emmy winner Anthony J. Cortese (LT: The Life & Times) and Alex LoSchiavo.
You Don't Know Where I'm From, Dawg is the latest installment from Paramount+'s soccer documentary collection that also includes Emmy Award winning Football Must Go On and Emmy nominated Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In.
