Netflix Announces Start of Production and New Cast for Second Season of 'Football Parents'

Chris Zegers, Lone van Roosendaal, Martijn Fischer and Michiel Romeyn join the cast.

Production has started on Football Parents, and for this season, Chris Zegers, Lone van Roosendaal, Martijn Fischer, Michiel Romeyn and Funda Müjde join the cast. The first season of the comedy series, written and directed by Ilse Warringa and produced by Hollands Licht, was a major success, spending an impressive seven weeks in the Dutch Top 10. The series offers a humorous take on a group of overenthusiastic parents who interfere from the sidelines with their children's soccer performances on the field. The second season of Football Parents is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027.

About Football Parents Season 2

In the second season, the kids have hit puberty and are dealing with typical teenage problems. But things get even messier when the parents turn out to be the most rebellious teens of all! Just like in season 1, the roles are reversed, and this time the parents are full-blown, hormone-fueled teenagers. Expect sneaky kisses by the bathroom, gossip, and plenty of social drama. And not because the kids are causing the trouble, but it's the parents!
