Kelsey Plum Joins WNBA on Prime as Player Contributor
Four-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champion to make select appearances throughout the 2026 season for Prime Video's expanded WNBA coverage
CULVER CITY, CALIF. - May 14, 2026 - Prime Video today announced Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum will join WNBA on Prime as a player contributor, making select appearances during the 2026 WNBA season. The WNBA on Prime tips off tonight, Thursday, May 14, where the Minnesota Lynx meet No. 1 Draft Pick Azzi Fudd and the Dallas Wings. Prime's opening night continues with the New York Liberty vs the newcomer Portland Fire at 10 p.m. ET.
"Kelsey's had a standout career in the WNBA and is a dynamic presence in women's basketball," says Amina Hussein, Prime Video Sports Head of On-Air Talent and Development. "We're building something special with WNBA on Prime, and her contributions to our broadcast as a current league veteran will add to our goal of delivering fans an authentic, player-driven experience."
Plum is one of the most dynamic and popular players in the WNBA, combining elite scoring ability with a magnetic personality that has made her one of the faces of the league's rapid growth. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft broke the NCAA all-time scoring record at the University of Washington before establishing herself as a star with the Las Vegas Aces, where she helped the franchise capture back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023. A four-time WNBA All-Star and the 2022 All-Star Game MVP, Plum has also represented Team USA on the international stage, winning gold in 3x3 basketball at the 2020 Olympics and 5x5 basketball at the 2024 Olympics.
"I'm excited to join Prime Video this WNBA season, as the league has never been more valuable in terms of media deals and viewership. There's so much talent and momentum around the league, and I look forward to bringing fans a current player's perspective while highlighting the personalities and storylines that make the game so special."
Throughout the season, Plum will join the WNBA on Prime studio team to help highlight key storylines around the league, provide on-court insight and authentic analysis alongside previously announced studio host Allie Clifton and analysts Swin Cash, Cynthia Cooper, Lindsey Harding, Candace Parker Teresea Weatherspoon and Ty Young. Prime Video's studio coverage will feature WNBA on Prime Pregame, a 30-minute show prior to every game live from Amazon Studios in Culver City, The Half at halftime of each game, followed by WNBA Nightcap postgame. On doubleheader nights, Prime will bridge games with The Crossover on doubleheader nights, continuing live coverage from the studio.
