BEST MEDICINE (FOX) - The show's sophomore run has been extended from 12 to 14 episodes. (Deadline.com, 5/11)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Taylor Kinney and Miranda Rae Mayo have signed new deals to continue on the series. (Deadline.com, 5/13)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - S. Epatha Merkerson and Oliver Platt have signed new deals to continue on the series. (Deadline.com, 5/13)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Jason Beghe will return for the series' 14th season this fall as part of his existing deal. (Deadline.com, 5/13)
DAY OF THE JACKAL, THE (Peacock) - Matt Bomer has signed onto the show's second season, believed to be playing a villain. (Deadline.com, 5/11)
FAST & FURIOUS TV SERIES (Peacock, New!) - The streamer has confirmed they are developing four potential TV series series set in the "Fast & Furious" universe. The projects, which are in early development, come from Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman; Nick Wootton and Charmaine DeGraté; Ingrid Escajeda; and Joe Henderson, respectively. No plot specifics were released. Vin Diesel, Sam Vincent, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan will also executive produce each for One Race, Original Film, and Universal Television. (Deadline.com, 5/13)
JURY DUTY/JURY DUTY PRESENTS: COMPANY RETREAT (Amazon) - The streamer has commissioned a third installment of the franchise created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Understandably, no other details were given. (Deadline.com, 5/11)
KID DETECTIVE, THE (Hulu, New!) - The streamer is developing a series adaptation of the Adam Brody movie with Rachel Kaplan producing. No other details were given. (Deadline.com, 5/11)
LOWDOWN, THE (FX) - Martha Plimpton and Clifton Collins Jr. have scored top secret roles on the series' second season. (Variety.com, 5/15)
MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, THE (MGM+) - Michael Ealy has signed onto the streamer's reimagining of the classic 1960 Western film as Tanner, the role originated by Steve McQueen. (Deadline.com, 5/12)
PAW PATROL/RUBBLE & CREW (Nickelodeon) - The cable channel has extended both series for an additional 26 episodes each, marking seasons 14 and 15 of the former, and seasons 5 and 6 of the latter. Said duo returns Friday, June 5 at 10am (ET/PT) and 10:30am (ET/PT), respectively. (Deadline.com, 5/14)

STOIC RIDGE (Peacock, New!) - Robert Munic is spearheading a domestic take on the French-Canadian series "Le Clan" for the streamer: "After years in witness protection, reformed criminal Jacob Morris has built a quiet life as a rancher, husband and father in small-town New Mexico. When his crime boss father and brother are released from prison, however, his two worlds collide, forcing him to protect his new family from the one he betrayed." Jillian Share, Jen Gorton, Guy Stodel, and Joanne Forgues will also executive produce for Universal Content Productions and Teton Ridge Entertainment. (THR.com, 5/15)

VIRGIN RIVER (Netflix) - Mitchell Slaggert is slated to recur on the series' upcoming eighth season as Eddie, "a charismatic EMT who may surprise you by fixing your soul along with your body. He's a laidback charmer who never pictured himself in a small town, but with natural curiosity and a zeal for life, Eddie is going to explore all that Virgin River has to offer."
