FOX ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS STRIKES MULTI-YEAR, FIRST-LOOK DEAL WITH EMMY(R) AWARD-WINNING COMEDIAN, ACTOR AND PRODUCER JB SMOOVE

Partnership Covers Unscripted Programming with Smoove and His Alternate Side Productions Executive Producing for FOX Entertainment Studios

Los Angeles, CA - May 20, 2026 - Emmy(R) Award-winning comedian, actor, writer and producer JB Smoove, along with his production company Alternate Side Productions (ASP), has entered into a multi-year unscripted first-look deal with FOX Entertainment Studios (FES).

Under the partnership, Smoove will serve as executive producer and creative collaborator on an unscripted slate spanning a range of formats and genres. Alternate Side Productions will executive produce all projects generated under the deal, with Smoove, Rick Dorfman and Miles Grose serving as executive producers. FOX Entertainment Studios will produce all projects arising from the partnership. The agreement marks a new collaboration between Smoove and FES, further expanding the studio's commitment to creator-driven, talent-led unscripted programming.

"JB brings an unmistakable comedic voice and a fearless, spontaneous energy that makes him a natural fit for the unscripted genre," said Allison Wallach, Head of Unscripted Programming, FOX Entertainment Studios. "Together with Rick, Miles and the team at Alternate Side Productions, JB has a sharp eye for original concepts and an ability to connect with audiences in a way that feels fresh, energizing and highly entertaining. We're excited to build a slate that fully taps into that original perspective."

"Let me tell you something... unscripted is where the magic really happens," said Smoove. "You can't plan it, you can't fake it, you just gotta jump in and let it fly. That's my lane! Partnering with Allison and the FOX Entertainment Studios crew gives us the space to get wild with ideas, find the funny in real life, and bring some shows to the screen that people didn't even know they needed yet. We're going to have a lot of fun with this."

Alternate Side Productions develops and produces a range of comedy-driven and format-based content across television and digital platforms, with a focus on talent-forward, original ideas and a commitment to elevating Black, Indigenous, and People of Color voices. Led by Smoove alongside Rick Dorfman and Miles Grose, the company has built a reputation for identifying distinctive talent and packaging projects that blend humor, culture, and personality-driven storytelling.

JB Smoove is an Emmy(R) Award-winning comedian, actor, writer and producer best known for his breakout role as Leon Black on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. A veteran stand-up comedian and former writer and performer on Saturday Night Live, Smoove has built a wide-ranging career across television, film, and live performance. His credits include Real Husbands of Hollywood, Mapleworth Murders and films such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and Barbershop: The Next Cut. Known for his quick wit, improvisational style and larger-than-life presence, Smoove has also hosted and appeared in numerous unscripted and reality-based projects, further showcasing his versatility as both a performer and creative force.

JB Smoove is represented by Authentic Talent and Literary Management, UTA, and attorney Roger Pliakas.
