June 29, 2026 - Paramount+ announced the greenlight of a new docuseries chronicling the Texas Tech University football team through one of the most consequential offseasons in the history of the sport, from director and showrunner Micah Brown (Coach Prime, Untold: Sign Stealer). Produced by Skydance Sports, the award-winning, premium content studio, the four- episode docuseries has been in production since January 2026 and is expected to premiere ahead of this year's college football season.

· Set in the intense world of college football, the docuseries follows the Texas Tech Red Raiders as Head Coach Joey McGuire builds a new team identity during a demanding offseason.

· "Texas Tech football has one of the most passionate fanbases in college sports, and this docuseries will give them an unprecedented look at what it takes to build an elite program," said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+. "This series is exactly the kind of premium scripted and unscripted sports storytelling our subscribers love, and it will join the massive collection of world-class sports content on Paramount+."

· "This has proven to be a landscape-altering offseason and we've been lucky to have a front row seat," said Greg Groggel, SVP Unscripted, Skydance Sports. "This series will present fans and viewers with an unprecedented window into everything that is defining college football today."

· "This documentary will give the Red Raider Nation an inside look at everything that makes Texas Tech Athletics special, the people, the passion, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines this program every day," said Kirby Hocutt, Director of Athletics at Texas Tech University. "We are incredibly proud that Paramount+ selected Texas Tech for a groundbreaking documentary with rare access."

· Skydance Sports is producing the series with Second Wind Creative.

· Skydance Sports is the studio behind the critically acclaimed documentary series "Rafa" and "aka Charlie Sheen," as well as the Golden Globe nominated feature film "Air," starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The studio recently received 10 Sports Emmy nominations for documentaries including America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, WWE: Unreal, Elway, and Saquon.

· This announcement follows other recent greenlights from Paramount+ including Fear Not starring Anne Hathaway, 9/12 starring Jeremy Strong and Discretion starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning. The new greenlight also joins sports content such as the currently running college basketball docuseries, Made for March, the upcoming Clint Dempsey soccer deep dive, You Don't Know Where I'm From, Dawg and the forthcoming golf travel series, Off Course (W/T), with Bill Murray. This new docuseries also joins the over 14,000 hours of Sports programming available on the service.

· Second Wind Creative is an unscripted production company specializing in premium sports content, with a focus on high-stakes, character-driven storytelling. Their work includes Prison Fighters: 5 Rounds to Freedom for Showtime, which explores a controversial Thai prison program where inmates fight for a chance at freedom, and ESPN's acclaimed 30 for 30 documentary Chuck & Tito, chronicling the iconic rivalry between MMA legends Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.
