BRESLAU MURDERS, THE (Hulu) - The Polish drama has been renewed for a second season: "After an unexpected release from prison, the second season continues to follow Franz Podolsky, who is reluctantly dragged into an investigation of a murdered woman that appears to be connected to a case he failed to solve years ago." (Deadline.com, 7/1)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - LaRoyce Hawkins's Kevin Atwater is departing the series after 13 seasons. The actor however will appear "in the first two or three episodes" to wrap up his character. (Deadline.com, 7/2)
DEXTER: RESURRECTION (Showtime) - Krysten Ritter will return for the show's second season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. In season one, she played Mia, "aka Lady Vengeance, a serial killer by night and sommelier by day, [who] was killed while jailed." (Deadline.com, 6/29)
DUTTON RANCH (Paramount Network) - Benjamin Cavell has been tapped to showrun the series' second season, succeeding Chad Feehan. (Variety.com, 6/30)
EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL (Disney+, New!) - The streamer has commissioned the Polish original, a comedy-drama "which centers on a young woman who aims to become a slightly better version of herself, when an unexpected event brings her self-improvement plan to life." No other details were given. (Deadline.com, 7/1)
FIRE COUNTRY (CBS) - Olivia Thirlby has joined the cast of the show's fifth season as Cecilia Jade "CJ" Ryan, "a quick-witted, fiercely independent, blue-collar, decorated urban firefighter who bolted her station house and city for mysterious reasons. After six months on the road, trying to outrun whatever happened, and herself, fate strands her in Edgewater where she crosses paths with Bode. Despite having no experience fighting woodland fires, Bode believes CJ has something to offer Station 42. And despite the serious culture shock, this fish out of water comes to believe rural Edgewater has something to offer her." (Deadline.com, 6/29)
GAME, THE (Disney+, New!) - Aurum Film is behind a new Polish thriller at the streamer, "spotlighting an exciting adventure that turns into a fight for survival when a group of strangers face an unexpected danger in the middle of a forest." No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com, 7/1)
HUNTING PARTY, THE (NBC) - The options on the cast have expired on the series, effectively ending its hopes of landing elsewhere. (Deadline.com, 7/2)

LANDMAN (Paramount+) - The principal cast has negotiated significant raises heading into the show's third season. Demi Moore is believed to now be on par with Billy Bob Thornton (who is on a separate three-year deal) believed to be in the $740K-$770K an episode range. Ali Larter will now receive "north of $350K an episode, in addition to getting a talent deal"; while Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph "are going up to $130K - $180K an episode next season." And finally, Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and James Jordan are "believed to be under that, all landing big percentage raises off a modest base." (Deadline.com, 6/30)
LAST KIDS ON EARTH (Disney Channel/Disney+, New!) - Writers Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux are set to team with director Kevin Tancharoen for a live-action version of Max Brallier's book-turned-animated series: "In Last Kids On Earth, when monsters overrun the sleepy town of Wakefield, a mismatched group of teens must band together, not only to survive, but to become the unlikely heroes charged with stopping the End of the World." The project, which has a pilot order, will also be executive produced by said trio, Brallier, Hillary Zwick Turner, Jennifer Twiner McCarron, and Matt Hornburg for Blue Ant Studios. LEX (Hulu) - Dylan O'Brien has signed on for the title role on the comedy pilot: "The comedy centers on Lex (O'Brien), a disgraced former reality star who accidentally films a murder in the background of a $20 Cameo video, and finds himself at the center of a global conspiracy - and on the run from powerful forces who want him dead. Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV's toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly... to get back on TV." He'll also executive produce alongside Sean Clements and Paul Simms. (Deadline.com, 6/30)
MOBLAND (Paramount+) - Tom Hardy is formally set to return for the show's expected third season following the previously reported behind-the-scenes drama on the series. (Deadline.com, 6/30)
NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS) - Former "NCIS: Los Angeles" star Eric Christian Olsen has joined the upcoming third season as an executive producer via his Cloud Nine Productions banner. David J. North, Mark Harmon, Sean Harmon, and the newly promoted Michele Greco also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com, 6/30)
PERSONA (Netflix, New!) - Christopher Monfette is spearheading a TV take on the video game franchise at the streamer: "While the plot varies game to game, they typically focus on Japanese high school students who must go through normal daily routines and build and maintain friendships while also dealing with supernatural threats." Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Robert Atwood, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson, and Toru Nakahara will also executive produce for 21 Laps, Story Kitchen, and Sega. PROBABILITY OF MIRACLES, THE (Amazon) - The Wendy Wunder adaptation has added Brian Tee, Ben Feldman, Simon Arblaster, Danika Frederick, Dominic Goodman, Paravi, Sierra Sidwell, Mason Temple, and Karl-Antoine Suprice. Tee will recur as Izzie, "a grounded, passionate, yet soft-spoken head chef and boyfriend to Alicia (Ginnifer Goodwin)"; with Feldman as Dr. Handsome, "Cam's noticeably good-looking oncologist." The other roles include: Arblaster as Phoenix, Frederick as Megan, Goodman as Shane, Paravi as Lily, Sidwell as Sunny, Temple as Royal, and Suprice as Alec. (Variety.com, 6/29; Deadline.com, 7/1)
SAREK (Amazon, New!) - The streamer has commissioned a four-part adaptation of Ulf Kvensler's novel: "Two survivors. Two conflicting stories. Only one can be true. When a badly wounded woman is airlifted to safety, she tells police a terrifying story: their group of friends fell under the psychopathic control of a charismatic outsider, leading to manipulation and psychological torture, and death. But just as the case appears closed, an unpredictable twist shatters everything - one of the supposed victims is still alive, and her account of what happened in the wilderness is utterly different." Felix Sandman, Kitt Walker Johansson, Alva Bratt, and Nora Rios will star in the project with writer Måns Herngren, producer Maida Krak, and executive producer Elin Kvist among the auspices for Jarowskij/Yellow Bird, Amazon MGM Studios, and Filmpool Nord. SHORE, THE (HBO Max, New!) - Neve Campbell is attached to star in a proposed small screen take on Katie Runde's novel at the streaming service: "The Shore is a multigenerational family drama set over the course of a summer on the Jersey Shore." Chris Keyser is behind the project with Campbell, Jeremy Stern, David Levine, Garrett Kemble, Brad Falchuk, and Mikkel Bondeson also executive producing for Anonymous Content and Teley-Vision. Co-executive producing is Meg Doyle. (Deadline.com, 6/30)
SURF HOUSE, THE (Netflix, New!) - Director Ed Lilly is spearheading a small screen take on Lucy Clarke's novel at the streamer: "The Surf House is set high on the cliffs of Morocco and is based in a sanctuary for surfers and travellers chasing sunshine and waves. But the idyll hides a dark mystery, and when Bea washes in, seeking refuge after a dangerous encounter in Marrakesh, she soon gets caught in the current. A woman her age - who stayed in the same area, walked the same beaches, met the same guests - disappeared one year earlier, vanishing without trace, and her last known whereabouts was The Surf House." Jessica Rhoades, Amy Israel, Josh Stern, and Alison Mo Massey will also executive produce for The North Road Company and Pacesetter Productions. (Deadline.com, 7/1)
TOXIC MOMS (Netflix, New!) - Sabrina Jalees has sold a new comedy to the streamer: "Toxic Moms is a dark half-hour comedy following a sleep-deprived new mom who's drawn into a clique of cool, wealthy mothers. But when the group reveals its darker side, the series asks: in the isolation of motherhood, how far would you go to taste community?" Ashley Tisdale, who is expected to star, and Ali Wong, who may direct if it goes to series, will also executive produce. (Deadline.com, 7/2)
UNTITLED DAKOTA FANNING PROJECT (Apple TV) - Joely Richardson has been added to the cast of the upcoming drama as Syd, "Brant's (Stellan Skarsgård) wife." (Deadline.com, 6/29)
