Prime Video Announces Exclusive Access Documentary Film Following Lily Allen
The feature-length documentary charts the trailblazing artist's life and work from her early years to the phenomenal success of her acclaimed album, West End Girl
LONDON, 22nd July, 2026: Prime Video today announced a feature-length biographical documentary film offering an intimate portrait of the life and career of a global icon and voice of a generation, Lily Allen.
The announcement comes off the back of Lily's phenomenal musical return with West End Girl, widely cited by critics as one of the most talked-about and culturally impactful album releases in recent years.
The retrospective documentary will chart Lily's extraordinary journey, from the "Queen of MySpace" who changed the rules of the music industry, to the cultural force she is today. As a pioneering woman in modern music, Lily's sharp wit and candid storytelling directly paved the way for a generation of today's biggest female artists.
Featuring interviews with those who know her best, the documentary builds a rich and revealing portrait of an artist defined by her creative fearlessness. This is a story of resilience, reinvention, and an artist reclaiming her narrative on her own terms. This is Lily Allen as she's never been seen before. Raw, real, and redefining what it means to thrive in the spotlight.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Mat Whitecross (Oasis: Supersonic, Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams) and co-produced by Magna Studios (Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger) and Mint Pictures (Oasis: Supersonic, Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams); the film will launch globally on Prime Video in 2027 and Altitude will manage the global theatrical release and home entertainment rights worldwide.
