PARAMOUNT+ BEGINS PRODUCTION ON THRILLER "DISCRETION" STARRING NICOLE KIDMAN, ELLE FANNING AND JOSH LUCAS

Stephan James and Colton Ryan join the ensemble from the New York Times bestselling author Chandler Baker and executive producer Susannah Grant

Discretion is produced by A24 and will launch on Paramount+ in 2027

· August 13, 2026 - Paramount+ today announced that production is underway on Discretion, the eight-episode legal thriller adapted from Chandler Baker's short story, starring Academy Award(R) and Emmy(R) winner Nicole Kidman, Academy Award(R) and Emmy(R) nominee Elle Fanning, and Josh Lucas. The series will be executive produced and written by acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Baker and executive produced by Academy Award(R) and Emmy(R) nominee Susannah Grant. Kidman and Fanning also executive produce via their Blossom Films and Lewellen Pictures banners, respectively. Emmy(R) nominee Matt Shakman, who serves as executive producer, will direct the first four episodes. Produced by A24, the series will launch globally on Paramount+ in 2027.

· Joining the previously announced cast as series regulars are Golden Globe(R) and Emmy(R) nominee Stephan James (I Play Rocky, If Beale Street Could Talk) and Colton Ryan (The Girl from Plainville). James will play "Logan," a sharp corporate associate who becomes a mentor to Lenny. Ryan will star as "Boone," Lenny's (Fanning) ex-boyfriend, a recovering addict from an affluent Dallas family, now nine months sober living at a halfway house while quietly trying to rebuild his life.

· Discretion is a legal thriller about a summer associate Lenny at a prestigious Dallas law firm who uncovers a web of NDAs masking a dark truth. When she realizes she signed the same agreement, her discoveries put her in the crosshairs of the firm's most powerful female partner Sharon (Kidman) - upending their mentor-protégé dynamic and raising the question: who gets to keep secrets, and at what cost.

· The series will be executive produced and written by acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Chandler Baker (Whisper Network, The Husbands) and executive produced by Oscar(R) and Emmy(R) nominee Susannah Grant (Erin Brokovich, Unbelievable). Matt Shakman serves as executive producer and will direct the first four episodes. Nicole Kidman and Per Saari (Blossom Films), Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward (Lewellen Pictures), Joe Hipps (CUT TO) and Jordan Cerf (Linden Entertainment) also serve as executive producers along with A24.
