ALL'S FAIR (Hulu) - Cauã Reymond has joined the cast of the show's second season in a top secret role. (Deadline.com, 9/22)
AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (NBC) - The reality competition series is considering moving to Georgia or Tennessee ahead of its 22nd season. (Deadline.com, 9/22)
BEAT THE REAPER (Apple TV) - Tim Van Patten has signed on to direct and executive produce the debut installment of the Will Poulter-led series. J.K. Simmons was recently cast as Dr. Friendly, "an incompetent surgeon in the book who works at the same hospital as Peter (Poulter)." (Deadline.com, 9/22)
CAT'S EYES (Hulu) - Sibling Disney+ will co-finance the manga-turned-live-action TV series' eight-part second season alongside TF1 and ZDF. The first season made its U.S. premiere earlier this year on May 22. (Deadline.com, 9/22)
CHALLENGER, THE (Amazon) - The '80s-set NASA limited series has cast William Fichtner as "Nobel physicist Richard Feynman"; Kevin Carroll as "his fellow physicist, Professor Arthur Walker"; Eric Lange as "Gen. Donald Kutyna (of the Presidential Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident)"; Adelaide Clemens as "NASA astronaut Rhea Seddon"; Louisa Jacobson as "Tam O'Shaughnessy (partner of Kristen Stewart's astronaut and physicist Sally Ride)"; and Hunter Burke as "astronaut Steve Hawley." DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Disney+) - The upcoming third season of the revival will be its last. Additionally, Marvel Television "has quietly parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane, whose contract was up and was not renewed." (THR.com, 9/21)
DISAVOWED (Apple TV) - Noma Dumezweni is the latest to board the drama in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com, 9/23)
DISCRETION (Paramount+) - Zazie Beetz, Ben Foster, Stella Baker, and John Hoogenakker have all been cast in the upcoming legal thriller. No character descriptions were given. (Deadline.com, 9/24)
DIVE (ABC, New!) - Steven Kane has sold a new New Orleans-based drama to the Alphabet: "Dive will follow an elite team of police divers and investigators who solve crimes that begin where the surface ends." Kristina Sorensen, Dwayne Johnson, and Dany Garcia will also executive produce for 20th Television and Seven Bucks Productions. (Deadline.com, 9/23)
GAME ROOM, THE (NBC, New!) - Michael Colton and John Aboud have sold a new half-hour workplace comedy to the network. Seth Meyers, Michael Shoemaker, and Jason Carden will also executive produce for Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions and Universal Studio Group. No plot specifics however were given. GLEE (FOX) - Ryan Murphy has "just finished" a script for a potential reboot of the series. 20th Television is behind the project, which has not been set up at a platform yet. (@etnow, 9/23)
HOOPS (Netflix, New!) - Adrian Dukes is developing Kennedy Ryan's book series for television at the streamer: "Ryan's Hoops is a sports romance series consisting of three books, Long Shot, Block Shot and Hook Shot, exploring high-stakes basketball, personal healing, and intense second-chance love stories." Dukes, Ryan, Will Packer, Sabrina Wind, Chris Paul, CJ Paul, Jacqueline Taylor, and Tracey Baker-Simmons are the executive producers for Ohh Dip!!! Entertainment and Will Packer Media. HUNTING GARY GLITTER (Netflix) - The documentary series has been postponed from its October 14 launch due to newly revealed "legal information." (Deadline.com, 9/23)
LINE OF FIRE (NBC) - Tyler Posey will recur on the newcomer as Brandon Hayes, "a handsome NSA agent who lights up a room. He served overseas as a Marine, where he developed a close friendship with Russell Hollingsworth (Taylor Bloom)." (Variety.com, 9/22)
LORDS' DAY, THE (Netflix) - Chanel Cresswell has been cast in the Damson Idris-led drama series in an unrevealed role. (Deadline.com, 9/22)
MARY POPPINS (New!) - Tom Winchester is developing a small screen take on P.L. Travers's original eight Mary Poppins books "often noted for being more mysterious, mercurial and dangerous than her film incarnation, and the adventures in the books are magical, surreal and sometimes frightening." Pure Fiction Television is producing the project, for which "very early-stage conversations are taking place with Disney." (Deadline.com, 9/25)
NEW MONEY (Amazon, New!) - Mekki Leeper will topline a new comedy series ordered by Amazon MGM Studios: "New Money is an ensemble workplace comedy set in the fast-paced and morally dubious world of private equity. The show follows a trust-fund baby-turned (self-proclaimed) mogul and his staff of misguided wannabes at New Money Worldwide, Southern California's least successful venture capital firm. Delusions of grandeur and complete incompetence will not stop our nepo-baby hero and his team of dedicated misfits from failing upwards as they recklessly invest money in a desperate attempt to make exponentially more money." Leeper penned the project and will executive produce alongside co-showrunner Joe Mande, Rob Mac, Jackie Cohn, Nick Frenkel, and Olivia Doud for More Better Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Mosaic. PARSIFAL MOSAIC, THE (Hulu, New!) - Sam Worthington and Sofia Carson are attached to star in a proposed drama at the streamer based on Robert Ludlum's 1982 spy novel: "After years of dangerous field work for the CIA, Michael Havelock (Worthington) is ready to get out of the game when he learns that his partner Jenna Karas (Carson) - secretly the love of his life - has betrayed him, and begins unravelling a powerful conspiracy that reaches around the globe." Writer Wes Tooke and director Seth Gordon are spearheading the project for Legendary Entertainment and Captivate Entertainment with Worthington, Carson, Ben Smith, and Jeffrey Weiner also executive producing. PEOPLE V. GORILLA GRODD, THE (HBO Max) - Sara Gilbert has been cast as an "important journalist" on the "Superman" spin-off series. (Deadline.com, 9/24)
PROTECTIVE CUSTODY (Apple TV) - Janeane Garofalo, Pej Vahdat, Shawntay Dalon, Isaac Stephen Montgomery, Judd Goodstein, and Andrew Mayer have all scored top secret roles on the Ben Stiller/Benicio Del Toro-led series. (Deadline.com, 9/24)
RIDE OR DIE (Amazon) - The Hannah Waddingham/Octavia Spencer-led series has been canceled after one season. Producer Paramount Television Studios plans to shop the project elsewhere. (Deadline.com, 9/19)
SAVANT, THE (Apple TV) - The Jessica Chastain-led drama, which was pulled shortly before its September 26, 2025 premiere, is now being rescheduled for Spring 2027. (Deadline.com, 9/20)
SCRUBS (REBOOT SERIES) (ABC) - Tamera Mowry-Housley is bound for the new season as Dr. Steffie, "a pediatric doctor who tries to persuade Tosh (Ava Bunn) to choose peds as her specialty." (Deadline.com, 9/24)
SHRINKING (Apple TV) - Judith Light will recur on the new season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Variety.com, 9/22)
TESTAMENTS, THE (Hulu) - Deborah Ann Woll and and Luke Kirby are both bound for the show's second season. Woll plays Sylvia, "whose work as a seamstress keeps her in close proximity to the Wives and daughters of Gilead's Commanders." And Kirby is "the literal-minded Commander Fletcher, who lives as a recluse on a farm in one of Gilead's Colonies, where his eccentricities have made it difficult to find a wife." UNIVERSAL BASIC GUYS (FOX) - Jay Pharoah, Cheri Oteri, Adam Devine, Thomas Lennon, Brandon Wardell, David Alan Grier, Joe Lo Truglio, and William Stanford Davis are among the featured guest voices set to drop by the animated series this season. (Variety.com, 9/24)
UNTITLED BLACK RODEO SERIES (Starz) - The show's recurring cast has added Patrick Cage as Tennessee, who "explores new business opportunities with Rodney that aren't exactly aboveboard"; Mpho Osei-Tutu as TJ, "the shady owner of a local eight-liner casino, where Sebastian is a frequent client"; Keith Arthur Bolden as LeRoi Louis, "the Clarke siblings' favorite and only uncle"; Tracey Bonner as Neo Leland, "the owner of Neo's Soul Kitchen"; Cris Ruiz as Rafael Morales, "Francisco's hot-headed, younger brother"; Derek Delafonte as Playboy Ray, "a cocky, obnoxious, and supremely talented all-around cowboy"; Demián Castro as Lieutenant Mescal, who "is willing to do the hard work to solve any case - even if it means clashing with the mayor"; and Christina DeRosa as Natalia Morales, "Francisco's supportive wife who believes strongly in family." UNTITLED CHARLIE HALL PROJECT (Netflix, New!) - Charlie Hall will topline a new half-hour at the streamer described as "a fictional comedy series about a college fraternity drug ring, loosely inspired by recent events and allegations." Alec Berg and Amy Solomon will also executive produce the project, which was penned by Hall. (Deadline.com, 9/22)
VICTORIA (Hulu) - Diane Lane will star opposite Li Jun Li in the upcoming limited series as Lee Calloway, "a savvy venture capitalist accustomed to getting what she wants and has worked too hard to let anyone stand between her and the win." (Deadline.com, 9/23)
YOUNG AMERICANS (Hulu) - Scott Foley is the first to be cast in the drama pilot as Judd Burchfield: "President Burchfield is a principled politician who rose to office by trusting his heartland instincts. His steady hand has been shaken by the tragic death of his firstborn daughter. As he struggles to hold his family and the country together, an old political rivalry is about to become deeply personal." (Deadline.com, 9/23)
ZODIAC (Disney+, New!) - Marvel Television has greenlit a spy thriller referred to as "Zodiac." No other details were given about the project. Said report however indicates "the most notable Marvel Comics reference is to a criminal organization headed by a villain named Scorpio that featured bad guys themed to the constellations. In the comics, it was known for going head-to-head against SHIELD." (THR.com, 9/21)
